WASHINGTON (CN) - A federal judge said he is fed up with the "Sisyphean quest to prove that President Barack Obama is using a fake Social Security number and a forged birth certificate," dismissing the latest lawsuit by Orly Taitz, the so-called Queen of the Birthers.
Taitz filed complaints against White House Counsel Kathy Ruemmler and Social Security Administration Commissioner Michael Astrue after both offices denied her Freedom of Information Act requests for the Obama's birth certificate and Social Security number.
Chief U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth dismissed the complaint Monday, saying that FOIA does not apply to the White House counsel and that her "bare suspicion" that the president is engaging in fraud does not warrant an invasion of his privacy. He rejected a motion to reconsider an Aug. 30 decision against Taitz the same day.
Lamberth has a history of scolding Taitz, who has her own history of intentionally defying court instructions.
"Plaintiff is either toying with the court or displaying her own stupidity," Lamberth wrote earlier this year after Taitz ignored court instructions to properly redact certain digits from Obama's allegedly doctored Social Security number in court filings. Instead, Taitz wrote the number multiple times every which way except for the instructed one.
The Soviet Moldova-born Taitz is the face of the birther movement, though her views are extreme enough to have gotten her banned from Tea Party events.
In addition to being a lawyer, Taitz is a dentist and tae kwon do black belt.
As birther claims reached a defeaning pitch this spring, Obama produced his original, long-form birth certificate, which shows he was born in Hawaii on Aug.

A Hawaii judge has denied a request from a California woman who wants to inspect President Barack Obama's original birth certificate.

The state estimates its attorneys have spent about 700 hours working on so called "birther" issues, with 90 of those hours dedicated to Dr. Orly Taitz.

Earlier this year President Barack Obama released a copy of his long form birth certificate. One skeptic believes it's a fake.

"I have provided in my paper work ample evidence that according to expert after expert after expert what Mr. Obama has posted online is a forgery. It's a clear forgery," Taitz says.

Taitz is hoping to prove that by asking to see the real thing, but the state says the Department of Health has already verified it.

"I have this record here, was Barack Hussein Obama II born in Hawaii? And the answer, the verification would be yes," said deputy attorney general Jill Nagamine.

"For the last three years there were multiple requests for Mr. Barack Obama's long form birth certificate," Taitz says.

And it has been a wide variety of folks wanting to see that document.

"Recently multi-billionaire Donald Trump raised the issue and quickly rose in polls as a leading presidential candidate for the 2012 election," Taitz says.

Taitz is the latest, asking not just Hawaii state courts, but federal courts to intervene.

"She has given no authority to this court that would provide us with any reason to believe that she is in a position of power to make a determination over the holder of the White House," Nagamine says.

Judge Rhonda Nishimura was asked by the state to dismiss the claim. It took less than an hour for the proceeding to wrap up with eight words.

"The court will grant the motion to dismiss," said Judge Nishimura.

And with that Taitz request to see the President's original birth certificate was thrown out.

But according to Taitz her request in federal court is still being considered.

Of course Obama isn't even involved. He wasn't a party to the law suit, wasn't involved in defending it, and has no control over the State of Hawaii.

What is he hiding? Nothing of course. He has shown more than any President or Presidential candidate in history, and everything that a person born in Hawaii is permitted to show.

And of course the State of Hawaii has shown it exists- it has provided certified copies, and has confirmed multiple times that the birth certificate exists and that President Obama was born there.

That some idiots still believe that there is some vast conspiracy involving the State of Hawaii, and believe that both the Republican and Democratic Governor of Hawaii are corrupt is not an issue for Obama or really anyone else.

No one is responsible for what the lunatic fringe think. Though it sure wastes a lot of government resources accomodating their mania. At some point a judge has got to rule that Orly is a vexious(sp?) litagator, and require her to get court approval before filing any more of this frivolous nonsense.

 

Wash has always been rather coy on how this would be accomplished.

Now if they wanted to show it to every American, it would be quite the logistical nightmare. Let us assume every American would look at it for 10 seconds, and assuming 300,000,000 Americans, that would take about 3470 days or about 9.5 years for everyone to see it. Under optimal circumstances.

Or what about if 'experts' looked at it and confirmed it were true. You know like a team of elite experts. Isn't that what Palin calls 'elitism'? Relying upon 'so-called' experts to tell the American people what to believe?

On the other hand perhaps we could ask the body entrusted with its safe keeping whether they have the original on hand and whether the copy that President Obama showed was a legitimate copy and ask them to confirm whether he was born in Hawaii?

Good for us that Hawaii has already answered those questions.

Birthers don't care about Presidential eligiblity for any other candidate, and just assume without a lick of evidence that they are all eligible.
