We have deposed two of our ALLIES, in the crucial nation of Egypt,and in Libya, enpowered terrorists, armed them with Qhaddafi''s military's weapons, and now have ZERO power , anywhere, and continue to facillitate our enemies.

The rebels aren't a bunch of hippies looking to hold peoples hands. They are crazy just like Assad's supporters, who have been burning down villages, over 4 million women and children are displaced. I have no love for Assad, who helped Saddam Hussein stash his WMDs, IMO, nor have I expressed a shred of support for him. We should have deposed him ALONG WITH Saddam Hussein.

Ask all you want. I do not believe I said every Syrian rebel was our enemy. I do remember saying that we have no role to play. The few articles I skimmed show that the Christians comprise about 10% of the country's population and believe their survival is tied to Assad's survival.

There are plenty of people involved. We have no role to play. They are all our enemies and we should let them bleed each other white. The Christians are in a tough place. As are all of the others.

No. Just because there are a few people on one side or the other does not mean we have a role to play. Would you feel better if I worded it some other way? All of the groups who are fighting, whether they contain Christians or not are our enemies. Whether they are part of the rebellion or part of the government makes no difference.

 

Seems so, Obama hasn't said a word about the burning of churches and genocide of Christians in either Syria or Egypt by AQI or the Muslim Brotherhood.

 

Then it shouldn't be too hard to list the 'good' rebels from the 'bad' rebels, and provide evidence of which ones do or don't receive US arms...

 

I don't have a private intelligence service with the HUMINT and SIGINT capabilities to track every Syrian rebel group nor do I have access to the classified documents showing where current US funding and arms go.

However, neither do you. So you cannot show that we are arming Al Qaeda.

 

Perhaps, but an administration that was facing such accusation s might well have an interest in clearing such things up...

 

Thats super awesome, but obama says he needs to spy on all Americans to protect us from the people hes giving weapons too.

What difference does it make how many people he kills? How many people need to die before it becomes necessary to intervene? I call BS on your looney logic.

 

That would require them to release exactly who our weapons are going to, which could open those groups up to attacks by Al Qaeda. Which is more important, making Rightwingers who are going to hate the administration anyways happy or ensuring the rebel groups they are supporting stay alive?
