That's crazy. It's to heavy and doesn't hold enough rounds to be a weapon of choice. Also to expensive. They start around $800.00 and up. There are much lighter, cheaper weapons out there that hold many more rounds that would by more in line with what people would want.

It means you can choose between different firing modes. It does not mean full auto. The M16 for instance can fire single or bursts but it can not fire on full auto until the mag runs dry.

It means it has at least one AUTO FIRE and SEMI-AUTO fire mode. AUTO FIRE is the reloading/firing of more than one round with a single trigger pull.

That said, burst fire IS AUTO FIRE< which is achieved when more than one round is fired with a single trigger pull.

 

Selective = CHOICE between semi and full. It's no wonder the inbred Aussie hierarchy doesn't allow the sons of prisoners to own guns. Actually, he is correct...the M16 IS a select-fire weapon, even without the FA option. It allows the user to SELECT from single-shot or three-round bursts.

There's also 3 round burst. Not all assault rifles allow full auto. The M16 for instance has selection between semi auto and 3 round burst. There is no full auto selection as in the AK47.

No matter what though the FN FAL is not an assault rifle.
