    making marriage available to same sex couples, regardless of sexual orientation. just like marriage is currently available to opposite sex couples, regardless of sexual orientation.

    Pretty sure the whole same sex limitation was chosen in response to homosexual couples choosing to marry. The guys advocating the ban that explain their reason by holding up signs saying "God Hates Gays" kinda gave it away.

    But OK, if it's not about homosexuality then it's about sex. Please stop trying to make laws that discriminate against couples based on their sex, religion, or race.​

    "Sex"??? The fact that only women become wives and mothers and only men become husbands and fathers is MORE than sufficient to justify discrimination on the basis of sex.

    And the people of the respective states voted for those limitations for a multitude of different reasons. Cant take the motives of a few and attribute them to all the voters.

    It would be appplied equally

    Marriage is basically meaningless to homosexuals, its kinda like if a regulation were to ban me from having an abortion, or all men for that matter, I could care less.

    Marriage is to make it more likely that two adults who have a biological child together, will stay together for the benefit of the children.

    The fact that many same sex couples do care establishes that it's not meaningless. Marriage is about two people choosing to live as one couple. Most wedding vows support that assertion. And the legal accommodations that prevent our society from unfairly penalizing folks who choose to live as one are significant to all married couples, regardless of their sex.

    Marriage is about licensing and regulating relationship between a man and a woman. That is all. There is no need to regulate or license any other type of couples.

    Yea, the point is, without knowing if it is true or not, you assigned the belief that someone holding a sign represents those who elected, and those who were elected.
