To have a baby in Kenya in 1961 would mean a five day airplane trip to Hawaii...

 

Which would have been documented, and his mothers passport stamped upon entry. has anyone seen her passport?

The birth would also have been registered at the nearest US (or British) Consulate. Who do you think gets a copy of your passport? Nobody and the US gov doesn't keep passport records on your comings and goings.

Further, women didn't fly after six months of pregnancy back in those days.. Flights were too long.

The birthers are so intent on proving that Obama is an alien because they and their ilk have spent 290 years trying to keep American blacks down. Their logic is that it's better if Obama is an alien rather than a true American because it would show that their efforts at suppression are still working. The idea that they allowed one to slip through their fence drives them nuts. They wouldn't believe it is Obama had been born in the main chamber of the Supreme Court or on the floor of Congress.

 

I realize that as I flew from Spain to America in 1964 and it took 27 hours in an R4D. Yes, they had jets, but I was a Navy Dependent, and commercial flights from Africa by jet were few and far between. it was still the heyday of ocean liners..

 

As the article implies, you now know the enemy. The original birther was Obama's own literary agent!

I started flying back and forth to Arabia in 1950.. and it took forever..

I can remember flying Dhahran to Tehran to Cairo to Rome to Frankfort.. Spend the night.. get back on the plane to London .. then to Shannon Ireland, then NY.. Then another 8 hours of puddle jumping to Birmingham.

Trust me it wasn't a cake walk in 1964 either.

 

what precedent? are you saying Obama IS a citizen but is actually naturalized? otherwise your comment makes zero sense....how would he set a precedent that makes anyone who is a citizen eligible to be president when there is no record he is a naturalized citizen?

assuming this is real, I think it would pretty much make the question mute -- there's no reason for Obama to lie in 1991 about who he is. If he said "born in Kenya" before the campaign for president, I believe that he is born in Kenya, simply because him being born in Kenya is not going to sell him books. However, he has every reason to lie NOW, as if he really was born in Kenya, he cannot stand for election to the presidency, the standard is NATURAL BORN, meaning if he's born anywhere other than the USA, he's not the real president.

Reading Barack Obama's mother's biography. I don't see where she was ever in Kenya prior to his birth? Sooooo... how could he be born there?

I agree. My first reaction to the whole birther thing was "get out the tin foil hats', but it is just too weird. It won't go away.

But then, this is likely the least known president of the modern era. Why are his education records sealed? Who paid for his education?
