    You know that little annoying check engine light that comes on in post 1996 vehicles indicating the ineffective, government mandated emissions system isn't working, and you'll have to have it repaired before the vehicles next inspection?
    Well now the government is taking it a step further...

    I can see the same technology being used by insurance companies (like Progressive with their "snapshot" which is essentially a "black box" for your OBDII vehicle) in conjunction with the state so police won't even have to witness driving behavior they deem illegal before they issue a summons or warrant.

    Ayuh,..... That's why I like Old trucks, 'n cars....

    That's right up there with the Smart Electrical Grid technologies...

    Big Bro, will be able to turn off yer car, 'n yer house....
