Ludicrous posts creating an imaginary scenario. This is reality.

They are hardly the point. Why are Trumpets so concerned about The Squad? Other than Trump and his Trumpets, few people listen to them. Fewer agree with them. Like I said, an imaginary political foe.

All of this is a diversion from what really should concern Americans.

Trump is more loyal to Israel than to the U.S. Congress.

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep.Tlaib to visit. They hate Israel & all Jewish people, & there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds. Minnesota and Michigan will have a hard time putting them back in office. They are a disgrace!

    6:57 AM - Aug 15, 2019

After the American President's comments regarding two American Congresswomen, Israel reversed course and prohibited the pair from entering the country.

Either Trump is acting like a Putin puppet, or he consistently says the absolutely worse thing at the worst possible time.

    That is the point!

Lol...I also think that Scaramucci is another perfect trump foil.
He's crass and unvarnished and tells it like it is.

We aren't talking about Trump (or Scaramucci, I don't really know why he was brought into this) in this thread, we are talking about AOC. I know that you both would like to divert attention away from her ridiculousness but unfortunately for you, this thread is covering it.

Ronstar, I'm still waiting for you to enlighten me on what we were discussing earlier in this thread. Has AOC ever brought up poor white communities, if she has, I will admit that I was wrong and spoke to soon.

Then I guess I'm one of the exceptions, my total tax liability dropped by about $1,000.

That woulod be largely because more people are working and making more money ergo the taxes they pay increase.

Yeah. Doesn't matter who makes the money- only who get it. Equality only applies to what you get, not what you do for it.

Oh, I'm sorry, I had no idea that the majority of Americans can't take care of themselves. How silly of me. We need more billionaires to show us the way to our salvation.

The majority of Americans are the haves.

If you think the discussion regarding policy should be based on a mere 1% of the population, I found the error of your argument.

Protests promote news media coverage. Riots foster police standing down.

Some people sell their self respect; others just throw it out the window. Regardless of money- when you have no self-respect, you live in a kind of poverty and misery that is far worse than just being poor.

That's true, but it usually goes further. They also fail to produce or manage drive, ambition, attitude.... self-management issues on a broad scale.

Another aspect of "why poor people remain poor", coming from my personal perspective is access and ability to rise out of poverty, which is the main reason why I am against unfettered immigration as well as unfettered migration. Both are being used to further exacerbate poverty with in and among the Black population of these United states of America. I am not talking about the immigrant populations, but many of us who are the children of the former slaves of the United States of America. While it is true that forcing others to hire people that they do not want to hire, it is equally as treacherous to intentionally prohibit hiring others on the basis that said person or people are from the former slaves. This is a conundrum and a quagmire.

Something often ignored- social changes are, in the long run, natural and evolutionary in process. You will not eliminate feelings of racism in anyone by passing a law. You may eliminate some of the physical effects, but you will create new resentment in imposing that process, new beliefs of injustice- but you still will not shift mindsets that are as old as the person. All the rioting and protests combined do not have that power. Thus, old beliefs kind of die of old age, and change does continue. We grow up- slowly. Thus justice as some people would have it is not going to happen quickly, maybe not in their lifetimes- but it will happen.
I suspect that the angry demands for instant gratification and all the insults and divisions that result from it are causing substantially more damage than good; actually slowing the process.

I simply just mentally "move on" and accept things as they are, never expecting any change in other than me. I have learned over the decades that expecting and even attempting to force others to change are equivalent to expecting a man to become pregnant, so I just do not care, one way or the other. If others want to spend time concerning with how others think about them, that is solely on them.

Addressing what I initially posted; in a society and "world" not controlled solely by me, it is useless to want what you deem as necessary and just to be the behavior of others. In other words, change is limited to yourself, and yourself alone, which is something that neither the “civil rights” nor others have either intentionally ignored in their fits of rage or they are just plain old daft in thinking.
