That would be parents, and uncles, and I did serve my time in the US military also, during the Vietnam era. I didn't support that war like I did World War II and the current one in Afghanistan, but I did my part in case any of the bad guys were to come here. Some people may think that's not a threat, but take away the US military, let Americans quit serving, and see what happens.
Well, you have my thanks! We just lost solder number 40 in Afghanistan, so I hope you can appreciate our effort there. I really hope Afghanistan turn out to be worth while.
My assessment was correct, you actually believe that other countries should not only defer to American self-interested adventures abroad, but thank them for it too.
Granny says go over there an' kick some more Somali terrorist butt... Hostage rescue: Will US intervene more in Somalia? January 25, 2012 - The US military has largely left East African nations to bring peace to Somalia. But hostage rescue, such as the SEAL operation Tuesday, is a tool the US military is using more often. See also: Somali pirate captors move US hostage after SEAL raid January 27, 2012 - After the US Navy SEAL rescue of American and Dane hostages this week, Somali pirates say they will move other hostages around, and will kill hostages if they are attacked.
So in brief: 1) US troops rescue Danes in Somalia. 2) The entire world should therefore support US foreign policy in it's entirety. Is this really the point you're making? Do you support Obama's foreign policy 100%? If not, do you think that you should not while we are obliged to? Lets face facts, this is just another BS OP.
