Okay folks....we WIN!

I would like to choose your #4 option, but I don't think it's possible. All politicians suck and pretty much do nothing. But at least Republicans won't HURT America like Dems do. Repubs don't have the balls to really do anything. Which, in our current climate, isn't the worst thing that could happen.

 

Having the majority of the media did not help them in these elections, did it. Thing is the American People are tired of the politicians in Washington not getting anything done and in the process harming the economy and the Nation. The GOP has a golden opportunity to show the American People that they are ready to get back to work and get the business of the Nation addressed. The first thing they need to do is start clearing the backlog of Bills that have been sent to the Senate and getting a Budget Bill formulated and sent on to the Whitehouse, that would show that they are genuinely interested in doing their job. Then comes the true test and that will be showing that they are willing to sit down with the President and work any differences they may have on the Bills submitted, if they simply go with a No Compromise stand they will lose everything they gained because the People will know for a fact that the GOP is not about the Nation but are instead only interested in Political Power and that will be their undoing. Now if they do show a willingness to work with the President it would set the stage for them to make a real bid for the Whitehouse, that is so long as they do not run a far right candidate like a Cruz Tea Party type candidate. We shall see what goes down but at this point it is hard to say what will happen until it actually does, any rhetoric before then is just that, rhetoric said to keep their base happy.

 

Really, why do you think we are stuck operating under Sequester Rules right now instead of an actual Budget? Hate to burst your bubble but that is due in large part to the actions of some Republicans, in particular some that are known to be running for the Whitehouse. We shall see if the GOP will use their time wisely over the next 24 months, if they do not say goodbye to the gains just achieved.

 

The president has to produce his budget proposals before the congress passes a budget and sends it to him. Obama has a golden opportunity to show that he can be bipartisan and work with a Republican congress to pass a budget. He has a chance to compromise. And there's no greater virtue in a politician than compromise, is there? Oh, this is going to be fun to watch. And you know what? I don't need to wait around for any of them to do anything to make a living in the meantime! The less they do, the better off all of us. Count your blessings.

 

The last Bill sent to the House over 16 months ago is still sitting there unaddressed. Yes we shall see if the GOP is all talk or if they can actually do anything. I am not waiting around for them to make a living either but Millions of Americans are, time for the GOP to put up or shut up and they better hurry 24 months is a very short time.
