Add another GOP Rep.from Texas leaving at the end of his term, as Mac Thornberry becomes the SIXTH Texan to announce he will not seek reelection in 2020.

Mac got 81% percent of the vote in 2018. Another Republican will easily take that seat.

Let me repeat myself. Mac got 81% percent of the vote in 2018.

If a Democrat can't garner more than 20% of the vote in 2018, then why would you think they have a chance in 2020????

I tend to look at the House races through a different set of glasses. I keep track of the districts that are competitive or at risk of switching. The GOP at the moment have 19 such districts which 5 are open. Open districts means no incumbent will be running for reelection. Your retirements. The Democrats have 35 districts in the competitive or at risk column, only one is an open seat.

These numbers should be no surprise since the Democrats this time around have to defend 240 seats to the GOP's 199, one seat is currently vacant. Also one should keep in mind that 31 of the 40 seats the Democrats picked up in 2018 were in districts Trump won in 2016. So if impeachment does take place, a vote in the House. I do wonder how that would effect the 31 freshmen Democrats if they vote to impeach in districts Trump won, Which are from tinted red to lean red districts. The Republicans need a net gain of 19 seats to regain control of the house.

It's too early to give an estimate or a guess at what might be the final results. Too many unknowns at this point to include impeachment along with who the candidates are or recruited by each party to oppose the incumbents. We also don't know who will be the democratic nominee which probably will have a huge effect on the outcome of the house races.

Interesting times, but retirements might not mean as much this time around as they did in 2018. A different party holds the house, different situation.

It should also be noted the above mentioned Rep.Chris Collins from New York, was the first sitting member of congress to endorse Dirty Donald following his announcement that he would be a presidential candidate.

Politicians are windsocks. They go the way of the majority vote. If the Trump bloc turns on their master, than the GOP will consider him anathema.

Trump is hysterical and out of control. Every GOP Senate and House candidate will be asked about his derangement. The cry baby's relentless tantrum will take its toll on Republicans.

Of the 225 House members supporting some action on impeachment, he singled out four women of color and two Jewish men to label "savages!:

Let's hope more Democrats continue to say extreme radical things that are outside mainstream America.

He allowed the America people to keep more of their own money unlike Democrats who keep wanting to steal the people's money via higher taxes.
