No, but we have a earlier Twitter interview in which Foster is calling out everyone a p*ssy that won’t confront him.
Looked for this after you said that he had posted this. Thanks for it. From what the Chief said here's my take away from it. Disclaimer: My opinion here is subject to change as new evidence emerges. So, from what the Chief said it appears that there were 3 people with guns at the scene. Foster, the driver of the car and one other. It appears as if Foster may have pointed his gun at the driver. The driver saw the people around his car banging on it, saw Foster starting to point a gun at him (or actually was pointing... that point is unclear), and reacted to the violent situation by fire his gun at the person pointing a gun at him. The other shooter, not seeing exactly what happened but did see the driver pulling away after shots had been fired then proceeded to shoot at the car 3 times. In essence, Foster pointed at the driver, or attempted to, causing the driver to fear for his life and as such responded in self defense. The other shooter attempted to stop the driver fleeing from the scene of a shooting, probably thinking that the driver is the one who did the shooting (right thinking in this case). Which is in a way a form of defense of others so might be excusable. But reckless as the driver was speeding away. Could have shot an innocent bystander. That is my take away so far. Again, this is subject to change depending on any new evidence that may come out.
I'm not following your logic. People have the intention of standing their ground because they have NO body armor? I carry an expensive weapon every day and I don't wear body armor. I don't even own any.
As I just replied to another post that the earlier Twitter interview showing Foster calling out everyone that won’t confront him a p*ssy will be very important in establishing Foster’s intentions.
The driver must have been carrying a magnum pistol. That was much louder than the other pistol. .357? .44?
Could've been. That first volley of shots was percussive for a handgun. It'd likely be a revolver as well... hard for the average person to fire rapidly with control under stress.
~ Whatever happened it is clear only one shooter could hit the target. Where did those other bullets go ..?
Foster's intentions aren't important. The guy who shot him has to prove self defense, which probably won't be very difficult to do if any other witness corroborates that Foster was holding his rifle, even if he had it pointed at the ground (versus just strapped to his chest). Even then, the guy probably just has to prove he had legitimate reason to fear for his life. I think it's aberrant thinking that Foster suggested that he hates police, and stupid that BLM wants to defund the police. But like Police Chief Manley said on the press briefing the police are here to protect them regardless of their opinions or ideology. The police were marching behind the protesters to keep them safe (and prevent riots, or course). It's not unlikely that if police had been intermingled with the marchers, instead of behind them, that they might have shot the guy in the car!
Probably in the guy's car. Both of the handgun owners had legal concealed carry licenses. You have to have several hours of training to get licensed.
Fairly rare to find single action ones around here, except among a few cowboy action enthusiasts. I have two, but they are more novelty pieces that wouldn't actually carry.
Yep, there are some accuracy requirements. Nothing too strenuous, but they're there. And shooting at a moving vehicle isn't that easy.
I have a Yugoslavian underdolder AK that I can knock you off your horse at 100 yards with. It is astounding that Garrett missed from just a few feet.
Still no evidence that Garrett ever shot his "AK." The shooting that we do know about was all done with handguns.
He didn't have an actual AK-47. When the news reports on "AK-47s" in the States, they are generally referring to any gun that shoots a 7.62 x 39 round.
Still no evidence that the guy with the "russian made AK-47" (not an actual AK-47, unknown if Russian made) fired his weapon. Reports are that the first shots came from inside the car and subsequent shots came from a third person.
Good point. And it is hard to gauge how loud the shots actually where when we just have cell phone footage.
