These Jews are scared of Ukrainian ne Nazi. Jews loved Soviet political system and they produced many outstanding Communist party leaders. This is their adaptation to survive and prosper under harsh conditions. Perhaps, Jews in Russia would write not so flattery sounding letter about neo Nazi. Do they love Stephan Bandera? Ukraine still does not have a political system, just Maidan. Let us see what is coming.

The countries of eastern Europe are among the worst. I'd like to think that in the 21st century Russians and Ukrainians have both evolved past it. I know that in the Soviet Union anti-Semitism was a crime (makes sense in an officially atheistic country), and that Jews rose to prominent positions, which would have been impossible before. So we might hope the Soviet indifference to religion still lingers where it can do some good.

In Old Russia, Jews were not allowed to live at all. They were exiled to the "Pale of Settlement" - Ukraine, Belarus, and other non-Russian regions. Russians didn't want any Jews spoiling their purity. That hardly speaks for Russian tolerance. Ukraine too has a rich history of hate and injustice. Bogdan Chmelnietzki, a 17th century Ukrainian leader, slaughtered about a million Poles and their Jewish employees in a revolt against foreign domination. Despite this ugly history, Jewish life centered in eastern Europe for about a thousand years, and there are still many Jews there. They're part of the place.

So let's not compete to see which country can be least hospitable to Jews.

Putin is very friendly to Jews. synagogues are open, Jews can go to Israel and come back. What else do they want? Those Ukrainian Jews are either intimidated to death or they are outright fools.

 

The current events show that Crimea might be Russian in a few days from now, and that Jewish letters, former political changes in geographical land and similar will become "ancient" history.

Gates, in a TV interview on Sunday, said that the perception of Crimea becoming Russian land is close to become a reality and that under the current circumstances can't be stop. WWII started because the way the allied ended WWI.

It's pure logic how that the Germans eventually reacted to end the insanity of repaying the allied a sum equal to all the gold ever found in the world, to take full control over their country as a souvereign nation, and to also take back land that belonged to their country since as far as they knew.


And who are you to say the majority in region that has long been autonomous in the Ukraine (and is called "The Autonomous Republic of Crimea" for +20 years) may not decide where they want to be part of?

Greeks are very religious and usually dislike catholics , the only separation they do here is between orthodox Slavs and non orthodox Slavs.
In short we see no difference between Ukrainians, Belarussians and Russians .

 

This is why it is important to base politics on Ukraine on expectations of on desires of local people, not just on what had been imposed by militant Bandera worshipers and their geopolitically minded sponsors. Germans were united by Hitler. Bandera followers cannot unite Ukrainians, they are butchers of the Ukraine. I doubt, if the new interim government would be able to run democratic elections, because they do not have enough support inside Ukraine.
