Notwithstanding that Condi has never promoted herself as a candidate for elected office, fact is she topped a June 2013 poll of Republicans for president in 2016.

Condoleezza Rice tops poll for Republican nominee for President in 2016! (Rice for President Yahoo Group)

So whilst Condi has made history (many times) I'm certainly not accepting that her contribution to politics is entirely "in the past".

    Noted.
My OP for this thread was not "spam", no. As to whether your reply was "spam" I have no opinion to offer.

My opinion was spam. I imagine if she ran the republicans would boycott anything that wasn't red, cracker and blue. They finally have their principles back by being exclusionary and anti democratic by not having a message and stopping anyone else from airing theirs. Its like they finally went.....

Condi Rice made the exact wrong decision every time she had a chance. Remember the time a Chinese Jet clipped one of our intelligence gathering spy planes, forcing it to land on a Chinese island? The correct response should have been: "Today an incident occurred in the South China sea resulting in the death of a Chinese pilot, our damaged aircraft was graciously allowed to land on a Chinese island with all crew saved. We look forward to our crew returning with our aircraft and mourn the death of the Chinese pilot, our condolences to the family and friends." Instead Condi immediately chastised the Chinese for clipping our aircraft and endangering our crew. The State dept spent the next weeks trying to create a message that sounded like an apology in Chinese and neutral in English to get back the crew and plane. We got the crew back a few weeks later, the 100's of million $$ aircraft with highly secretive equipment of the highest technology was returned in boxes. She's an idiot.

I remember that, I wasn't aware the pilot died though.

I think Condi could get out the Chinese vote for president, or "Chairwoman" as the case may be.

Has she considered running? It would be interesting how the party leadership reacts if she did run.

She has been asked many times by many people if she would run for president or VP and so she has had to consider how she would reply to that suggestion and she says words to the effect that she does not want to run - which is not very encouraging I regret to say. :frown:

See this video for some examples.

Condi's reluctance to be more open to the idea of her running for elected office, president or whatever, always pouring cold water on the idea when asked, is the issue. President Rice is a non-starter unless she is prepared to be persuaded to run.

As to who could persuade her? Maybe someone with a lot of money to fund her campaign?

When the party leadership invited Condi to address the Republican National Convention before the 2012 presidential election, in her speech she said

So when Condi says that, it's more encouraging and you can hear her say that quote from 17:00 into this video

So I think the party leadership would react very positively if she did run.
This is the video I would like to play to a party convention before Condi takes to the stage to speak. :clapping:

From what I am hearing, she would probably rather run for a future spot as the Commissioner of the NFL.

And no, that is not a joke.
