When did the Democrats ever claimed that they cared about "election security?" All I see is proposals to vote without an ID and registration on Election Day which means the voter can't be vetted at all. Election fraud is the Democrats' stock in trade. This "mistake" has probably sealed the senatorial race for Fetterman.

It's very telling that the Pennsylvania secretary of state, who is responsible for running the elections, is a Democrat.

I live in Oregon where mail-in-voting has been the rule for 22 years. The reliability of mail-in voting is entirely dependent upon the intentions and thoroughness of the state's elections division. If the state intends to make voting secure and reliable, it will be secure and reliable. Oregon never has any worrisome problems with voting. Yes, sometimes a person will be found to have voted twice, or in a county other than where they should have voted from, but it usually turns out to be an honest error and is either resolved, or if it is a crime it is caught and prosecuted.

There is no need to oppose mail-in voting other than to invent a problem that doesn't have to be.

Well they claim they care every time they're pressed on the voting changes they actually care about; same day reg, no id, no sig, ballot boxes on every street corner, harvesting, non-citizen voting, etc.

Not saying that you are wrong, but my understanding is that Illinois is like PA and you have to request your ballot. I got tons of things in the mail encouraging me to vote by mail and applications, but no actual ballot. My son who lives at college, did request a ballot, received one and voted. So my question is did you actually receive 3 ballots or 3 applications. Big difference.

My state, Oregon, has prioritized mail-in voting for 22 years and it always goes smoothly with no more fraud than the average state has. I can renew my drivers license by mail too.

You are following the old ploy that universal mail-in balloting is the same as the absentee balloting America has had for decades. It is not. None of those countries have universal automatic mail-in balloting. One or two had it a few years ago for a while until they got rd of it because of the recognized much greater potential for fraud, abuse and error. Most European countries allow mail-in absentee voting but only one or two allow applied for absentee voting for almost any reason.
