Do mormons have the same God?

None the less, all 3 religions have the God of Abraham. A fact you should not deny.
Is Jesus not the God of Abraham? Or are there different Abrahams?

At this point, I'm not even sure how to respond to WanRen's hideous butchering of human evolution. It's one thing to show someone who is using incorrect logic or starting from incorrect premises that they are wrong and going from there, but when both the logic and premises are incorrect, there's really nowhere to go.

However, for Dear Reader, let's take something into consideration. We know that evolution works, it's why genetic engineering can even work (why can genes be transferred from one organism to another if they didn't evolve from a common ancestor that uses the same codons for translating genetic code into proteins?), it's why diseases become drug resistant, and it's why we can breed livestock, pets, and crops for certain characteristics. It's why in Russia they've managed to develop a domesticated fox from standard ol' Vulpes vulpes. It's why any part of modern biology works as it does. It's been experimentally proven and observed to happen in animals with small generation times. It's why we've been able to find certain fossils almost exactly where we expect them (Tiktaalik, various Australapithicines, etc.).

However, I think I'm done with trying to educate WanRen; it's like trying to teach trigonometry to someone who constantly and consistently insists that 1 + 1 = 11.

That is not from 99% that is from one persons view. Here is the fact 99% of Muslims do not worship the Abrahamic Christian God Jesus Christ
99% of Judaism do not worship the Abrahamic Christian God Jesus Christ
99% of Christians do not worship Islamic version of the Abrahamic God
99% of Christians worship Judaism Abrahamic God.

Again please answer my questions:
how can you claim that Muslims worship the same God as Christians when they don't worship Jesus Christ? You don't have to answer yes or no I prefer an elaborate answer.

Same with Judaism, how can Judaism claim they are worshipping the God of Abraham when they have rejected Jesus Christ who have proclaim Himself to be the God of Abraham.

Your no answer is = acknowledegement that Isam and Judaism do not worship the true Abrahamic God of Christianity. Thank you.

Nope, Mormons do not worship the same Christian God of Christians, in fact Mormons are not Christians.
Again I repeat, only Christianity worship the True Abrahamic God that is the fact.
Yes, Jesus is the God of Abraham you got it right. And both Islam and Judaism do not worship Jesus Christ the God of Abraham.
Yes, Muslim have created their own Abraham that has nothing to do with Christian real Abraham.
Judaism has the real Abraham up to the Old Testament only.

If there is any butchering of evolution is you, your own science you deny.
Here is a simple explanation:

Primates:
1. Humans or homo sapiens
a.) white race, (b) yellow, (c) brown, (d) black
2. Apes
(a) gorillas (b) orangutan (c) chipamzees (b) baboons and other monkey species

And here is a kicker the early European scientist where criticise for being racist, because they claim that the Africans and aborigines (negros) are intermidate between apes and modern human.

Charles Darwin never officially claim that humans evolve from those apes.
Scientist theorise that humans and apes evolve from common ancestor called primate. Scientist are now confuse how come humans evolve to become intelligent creatures humans learn to use fire, make weapons and tools etc. While apes for thousand of years have remain the same.

Simple put it:
Primate (King Kong + Queen Kong) has two children Human and Ape.
Human went their own way to become intelligent creatures
Apes remain unintelligent and later scientist will classify these apes as none-humans.

Now if you insist that humans evolve from these apes, tell me and show me any scientific facts that support your claim that gorillas, chipamzees etc. = humans.

Ok now we are talking genetic engineering require human intervention that is how scientist are able to become creators with cloning. Now ask yourself, who was the first Creator that created humans and gave them the intelligiance to evolve and learn genetic engineering.....God.

No you are not done with me, you are done with yourself, you have surrender to your own abilties of not accepting facts just because I am Christian. I have been educated by you, I learn that there are many individuals that still deny facts and this is the reason why in this earth there will always be a struggle.

1) The different races of humans are not the same thing as what a species is.
2) Almost all primates can make tools and some make weapons.
3) All apes have pretty much stayed the same for thousands of years since evolution takes much longer periods of time to occur (for creatures that have generational periods like ours)
4) Nobody is saying that we evolved from gorillas or chimps, we evolved from a common ancestor.

Here is a cartoon-y explanation that may help you better understand:

a different species, who evolved from our common ancestor with a different set genetic mutations, because they are not intelligent as us is a argument against evolution? how?

That is why I don't use cartoons as my sceintific reference. As I have pointed out very clearly as I learn from scientific facts not cartoons:
Humans and apes are totally different species.
Yes, we evolve from a common ancestors that is the theory now we are getting somewhere. You now understand that humans are not from those monkeys and monkeys are not from humans.

The common ancestor is still being research because the argument is that if humans and apes evolve from the same ancestor how come humans evolve into an intelligent creature while apes remain unintelligent?

By the way, apes can not make fire or know the purpose on how to use fire. They can not make human weapons such as spear, swords, or guns they use only natural form of weapons such as rocks and stick. Even if you give them a gun they do no tkno whow to use the.

Genetic engineering is now trying to make these apes as intelligent as humans if ever these apes does gain human intelligiance it is because of human intervention not from natural selection.

I won't be suprise if this becomes a reality

So now this goes back is there really a Creator? Base on what we now know, yes there is a Creator, there exist a God this is why humans are distinct from apes because humans were created by God not be be apes.

Sigh.

Firstly, the "races" of humans are entirely arbitrary, non-scientific divisions. Black Africans are the most genetically diverse group of humans on earth, whereas everyone outside of Africa is less genetically diverse because of the founder effect.

Secondly, "apes" refers to humans, chimps, gorillas, orangutans, gibbons, and now extinct ancestors and dead-end relatives back to about 30 million years ago when apes and Old World monkeys split.

Turns out that science advances and no serious biologist or zoologist thinks that any humans are too incredibly different from one another.

He correctly predicted that evidence would arise and the location of that evidence (Africa), which does speak to the strength of his theory.

No, you're using taxonomic categories incorrectly again. Primates describes the entire grouping of mammals that includes everything from tarsiers to humans and all the way back to their common ancestor some 70 million years ago. I already mentioned the likely ancestor (or a close cousin thereof) of all extant modern apes some pages ago, so feel free to browse the last several pages and find it.

Not really; we know of several genes that increase brain size and we also know that large brains are metabolically expensive and most animals will only grow them big enough to be successful since they require a constant stream of energy in the form of glucose. If an animal can get away with a smaller brain, they'll evolve smaller brains (that's not entirely accurate; more accurately, if a larger brain does not contribute to survival success, then those animals in a population with a smaller brain can allocate its resources more efficiently to other needs, such as reproduction, surviving famine times, and so forth, so they will breed more often and eventually the alleles controlling for smaller brain size will become fixed in the population).

LOLWUT? That is ridiculous. Humans and non-human apes shared a common ancestor some 13 million years ago and from that ancestor the orangutan lineage split first, then the gorilla lineage, then the chimp and human lineages separated some 5-7 million years ago.

Well, the non-human apes don't seem to be destroying all their habitat and trying to exceed their carrying capacity, so I really have to wonder which group is less intelligent.

I mentioned several pages ago that humans did not evolve from modern non-human apes. We evolved from a common ancestral ape some 13 million years ago. I also mentioned that ape (or its close cousin) several pages ago.

They aren't human; they're related to humans. "Ape" is a general term for any animal meeting a set of criteria and humans meet those criteria, therefore, we're apes.

Quick, tell me what a codon is and why we should expect them to all be interchangeable if a deity made them.

LOLWUT? No, you're completely unaware of how biology works.

It isn't a cartoon, I said "cartoon-y"; it's the same kind of picture you'd find in a textbook to make a concept easier to understand to the reader.

Apes are not a species.

From what monkeys?

We are apes.

Once again, we are apes, so we can make fire and use it. Secondly, chimps have been observed making spears.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/22/AR2007022201007.html

"Chimpanzees living in the West African savannah have been observed fashioning deadly spears from sticks and using the tools to hunt small mammals -- the first routine production of deadly weapons ever observed in animals other than humans."

Nobody is trying to make apes into intelligent beings through genetic engineering.

Prove it.

The oneness of God. The abrahamic God.
http://www.bible.ca/trinity/trinity-oneness-unity-one-god.htm

Then there are the plurals.
5) There is subordination within the Trinity. Scripture shows that the Holy Spirit is subordinate to the Father and the Son, and the Son is subordinate to the Father. This is an internal relationship and does not deny the deity of any Person of the Trinity. This is simply an area which our finite minds cannot understand concerning the infinite God. Concerning the Son see Luke 22:42, John 5:36, John 20:21, and 1 John 4:14. Concerning the Holy Spirit see John 14:16, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7, and especially John 16:13-14.

This is a classic example of someone misinterpreting the Holy Bible. Let me explain this particular verse from Isaiah to clarify what the message of this verse is really conveying over to the reader. It would be a huge misconception to come away believing that God is saying that He created all moral evil bringing it into existence and is ultimately responsible for all of it.

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." Is the King James Version of Isaiah 45:7 and let's see how does it agree with the view that God did not create evil?

The word translated "evil" is from a Hebrew word that means "adversity, affliction, calamity, distress, misery." Notice how the other major English Bible translations render the word: "calamity" (NKJV, NAS, ESV), "bad times" (NLT) "disaster" (NIV, HCSB), and "woe" (NRSV).

The Hebrew word can refer to moral evil, and often does have this meaning in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, due to the diversity of possible definitions, it is unwise to assume that "I create evil" in Isaiah 45:7 refers to God bringing moral evil into existence.

The context of Isaiah 45:7 makes it clear that something other than "bringing moral evil into existence" is in mind.

The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing Israel for disobedience.

God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him.

"Woe to him who quarrels with his Master" (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings "evil" and "disaster."

So, rather than saying that God created "moral evil," Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture, that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him.

In summary God did not bring moral evil into existence but instead He punishes moral evil. All human miseries are a result of sins committed by humans then justly punished by God.

Who's arguing? I'm not arguing, I'm comfortable and satisfied in what I believe in, why would I need to argue and prove to you or anyone else for that matter that in what I believe in is the truth?

The whole theme of why I started this thread was to answer tough questions regarding Christianity, it was never intended for me to present arguments to prove to anyone the existence of Almighty God!

I specifically said, "I will do my best to clarify and make sense of it to those who are unaware. I don't want my intentions to come across as converting you or whatever lol... but rather clear up things etc... so ask away"

So basically if someone misunderstands a certain passage or verse of Scripture, I try my best to clarify it to bring about understanding.

Without knowing the authors intent it is hard to know what translation to use.
How many english words are mistranslated or misunderstood like in isaiah 45:7?

It does not matter if Africans are consider the most genetically diverse group of humans the bottom line is humans are group according to races or ethnicity and Africans like all humans did not evolve from apes (gorillas, baboons, chimpanzee, orangutan or any monkey species).

The word "ape" was first introduce in the mid 1800s by European scientist because they thought that humans were like the traditional apes such as the gorillas now scientist have learn that humans are distinct from the apes that is why humans evolutionary history is separate from the chimps, gorillas, orangutans, gibbons and etc. I do not know why you keep contradicting modern science.

Yes that I agree no humans are too incredibly different from one another that is why the Catholic church is about racial universality just like what Jesus Christ taught we are all children of God.

Darwin made a wild goose guess that modern scientist now know that humans did not evolve from apes, Darwin knew that but he wasn't so sure so he just commented in a general way without specifying or agreeing with some of the other scientist that claim humans are from apes.

You see you are talking as if it is a confirm fact that all mammals came from one common ancestor, think about what you are saying:
1. Scientist have only theorise they have not confirm that as fact.
2. To say that all mammals came from one common ancestors does this not somehow similar to the Bible that creation was started by one being which in this case is God?
3. What we know is fact is that all those mammals have been classify or group according to their kind in fact gorillas are separate from chimps no evidence that one or the other evolve from one another, just like apes are not or did not evolve to humans.

This again boils down to why didn't the brain size of those none human apes develop or evolve like those of the humans, in spite the fact that those none human apes have a recorded longer existence before men by almost 10,000 years. IMO it is because humans are distinct and are not like or related to those none human apes. We have already knowledge that scientist have been making many laboratories experiments to try to get those none human apes to become like humans. Not even the the first monkey-chimp astronaut was able to become human.

Again that is still a theory that is widely being studied. And again as you have said humans and the orangutan, gorilla, chimps and their likes split million years ago while humans evolve to become intelligent the none human apes remain the same for the last million years.

Off course they are not destroying their or the world's habitat just like they are not developing any condos or cities their intelligence is limited to the common animal level and because most of all they are not humans.

No I initial insist that humans did not evolve from apes such from the different ape species like gorillas, chimps etc. you kept insisting that humans evolve from apes your understanding that the common ancestors of these apes and humans are actually apes such as gorillas you never elaboratored until now and yet you still contradict yourself refusing to accept that the term ape that was use to refer to the common ancestors was racially motivated by 19th century European explorers and scientist.

Now scientist no longer define primates as being apes and humans are distinctively group as homo or homo sapiens.
check this list of primates; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_primates

Not me I am not an ape, I am a homo sapien.
Ape is a derogatory term use against humans.

Codon is a form of genetic science. This discovery is just another proof of the wonders or mystery of creation especially of human. And one can only research further how it all came about, was there a Creator? This again is a clear demonstration that according to the Bible, that God created man in His own image and gave man the abilities and responsibility to take care of the universe and this explains why humans have this unique intelligence that is not found on all other creatures or living things.

I am fully aware of how biology and science works but do you. That is why I understand that humans did not evolve from apes because we are not apes we are homo sapien. That nothing comes from nothing in fact this is the basic tenet of science therefore it would mean the whole universe including the most minute particle has to come or started by a Creator, a God.

Cherry picking what you chose to answer is not answering the tough questions is it? But then again, christianity being founded on deceit and forgery thats not surprising or at least it should'nt be.

We are the prove that God exist and the Bible got it right. And I know you and your buddies will hate more because I believe that humans or homo sapiens evolve from its own ancestor separate from the apes. Every other creatures or mammals probably evolve from the same or single ancestor but not homo sapiens that is why humans are unique and different from apes and other mammals our intelligence is proof of that.

If you want to believe that you evolve from apes that is your free choice, me, I believe I and other humans like me evolve from a homo sapien godfather. We are humans not apes.

Back then scientist were very sure that there was only nine planets in our galaxy it was widely taught in all schools until they discover another and another planet now they are not sure how big our galaxy is.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who exactly are these people you are refering to? Do you have names and exactly when all these supposedly editing took place? Or is this just another wild assertion coming from you without any substantiated evidences?...look no need to answer because I already know the answer...it's just another wild assertion coming from you.

Our news headlines show that prophecies written in the Bible many centuries ago are now beginning to be fulfilled in a major way. Nowhere is this truer than in Central Europe and the Middle East. What does Bible prophecy tell us about the future of Europe? The biblical books of Daniel and Revelation both show that a new and dictatorial superpower will emerge at the time of the end, centered in Europe.

As we know already know many prophecies have been fulfilled as foretold in the bible and many more are yet to be fulfilled, we are not done yet with these prophecies.

Why are you blind to the fact that bad things happen to good people and REALLY good thing happen to bad people( Wall Streeters, Banksters, Oil company executives, health care insurance executives, drug kingpins, mafia bosses....)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that you are the one who is blind. Do you really believe that just good things happen to bad people? Or just bad things happen to good people? If you do you are really naive. Everyone has their share of good things happening to them as well as bad things happening to them.

You might believe that the good life is just raking in as much money as one can possibly attain but I ask you is that what you really believe happiness in life is all about?

Do you believe all rich people are entirely happy with their lives? and people who are not considered rich are entirely unhappy with their lives? If you answer yes to both of these questions you are indeed naive.

We are all here temporarily, nothing here on earth is permanent. What's permanent is everyone's life in eternity. Some will have eternal bliss in heaven and some will have eternal condemnation in hell dependent on what their choices are, meaning if they accept/reject Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior.

The eternity is really where people will either be very happy (believers) or very unhappy (non-believers) for the rest of their eternal existence.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No, where have I said that God will brainwash people in heaven? You misunderstood what I said...what else is new?

They will come to realize that His justice is righteous and will no longer have any illusion that fallen people are good without Christ.

It is not a torturing project. It is eternal punishment for whoever rejects Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior to pay for the sins they committed in their lives. You might believe that the infinite punishment does not fit the finite sins but I ask you is that really true?

When anyone goes to hell they will be sinning constantly for the rest of eternity. They will be cussing and hating God for every second there, thus the punishment is justified for eternal sinning.

Furthermore, rejecting the payment our Lord Savior Jesus Christ made on the cross as payment for our sins, is like spitting in His face and rejecting Him for showing His great love for us by sacrificing His life by suffering the agonizing pain of shedding His innocent blood so that He could save us from eternal punishment, is by itself worthy of eternal punishment in hell.

Why should anyone be eternally punished simply for not accepting Jesus Christ? Thats pure Evil to banish someone to eternal damnation simply for refusing to accept a god. Lots of people die in much more horrific manners every single day and they dont require worship. A true loving god would never require people to worship him under penalty of eternal damnation. If your gods love was pure you wouldnt need to force anyone to accept him. This is what a controlling human being writes in a book to control other weak minded human beings. Im sorry but this is true. A true Gods gift is the gift of life....this one we are living now. I am positive he/she/it wants us to cherish every day as a gift. Living in fear of a false god is a sad sad life.

Since God didn't stay dead (according to the story) was he in fact ever dead? And if he was never dead then it's a lie that he was dead.

Yes, He was in fact dead but just for 3 days, then on the 3rd day He resurrected from the dead and thus began the Christian religion.

For now we have a Savior who wiped away the sins of mankind... in that whoever believes in Him shall not persish but have eternal life...amen to that brother!
