    1) It is not an assumption to say that the Bible has been changed, interpolated and is full of edits and omissions. This is a statement of fact.

    2) I did not claim that these things negated the validity of the Bible - Nice strawman

I assumed no such thing - Strawman 2

It is from these scholars that I learned how much the Bible has been changed. Would you care to see the evidence ?

Yep, your statement in bold above just proved that I was right in that you're not even realizing that you are expressing your faith when you argue over anything to do with Almighty God and it takes faith to believe Almighty God doesn't exist.

You are misunderstanding the world "faith". It's obvious that you think the word "faith" is only associated to exclusively refer to people who believe in God that He exists.

So then you rationalize that if you believe God does not exist then you understand that to mean you have an absence of faith.

But you are failing to recognize that the word "faith" has several definitions. Let me present them to you.

    1. Unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence

    2. Unquestioning belief in God, religious tenets, etc.

    3. A religion or a system of religious beliefs

    4. Anything believed

    5. Complete trust, confidence, or reliance

    6. Allegiance to some person or thing; loyalty

And so based on definitions 1 & 4 it is a valid statement to say, "It takes faith to believe Almighty God doesn't exist"

Let me go on by saying we Christians understand that the existence of God must be accepted by faith, but this does not mean belief in God is illogical. There are many good arguments for the existence of God.

The Bible teaches that God’s existence is clearly seen in the universe.

    We Read in Scripture:

"The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun." ---Psalms 19:1-4 NLT

The Bible teaches that God’s existence is clearly seen in nature.

    We Read in Scripture:

"But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools." ---Romans 1:18-22 NLT

The Bible teaches that God’s existence is clearly seen in our own hearts.

    We Read in Scripture:

"Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end." ---Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT

At the same time, it takes just as much faith to believe in atheism. To make the absolute statement "God does not exist" is to make a claim of knowing absolutely everything there is to know about everything and of having been everywhere in the universe and having witnessed everything there is to be seen. Of course, no atheist would make these claims. However, that is essentially what they are claiming when they state that God absolutely does not exist. Atheists cannot prove that God does not, for example, live in the center of the sun, or beneath the clouds of Jupiter, or in some distant nebula. Since those places are beyond our capacity to observe, it cannot be proven that God does not exist. It takes just as much faith to be an atheist as it does to be a theist. Atheism cannot be proven, and God’s existence must be accepted by faith.

So in conclusion it takes faith to believe God exists as well as faith to believe God does not exist. I like being on the side of the faith that believes God exists because obviously it's the winner side!

    We Read in Scripture:

"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." ---John 3:16 NLT

"You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." ---Matthew 7:13-14 NLT

I will. You've now been shown a fact that you can prove for yourself. Deny it then you have no right to claim the Bible is Gods Word. Only that you have not studied it properly.

They're answered; You just don't like the answer when it's from the bibl
I don't pay any attention to nonbelievers that tell me I haven't studied the Bible correctly.

Great. Then we needn't take you seriously. You refuse to consider you might be wrong, even when proved so. That is what makes Christianity of some people a sham. Fear of the truth.

    We Read in Scripture:

Titus 1:14 (CEV) = "Don’t pay any attention to any of those senseless Jewish stories and human commands. These are made up by people who won’t obey the truth."

I understand that they were written by desert dwellers in ancient times, I am not disputing that, my statement was it takes faith to believe everything in the Bible are just myths. That is what people like you believe, your faith believes the Bible is full of myths whereas my faith believes them to be true historical events.

From the creation story in Genesis, to the Great Flood of Noah, to the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, to the miraculous birth, life, teachings from His mininistry, the miracles He performed, the death by crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ and all the rests of the stories in the Bible were all true historical events.

The 2nd coming of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ is a future event that is prophesied to happen and when that happens it will be another true historical event. It's just a matter of time when that happens.

    We Read in Scripture:

"Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." ---Rev. 22:12-13 NLT

We haven't made a lot of progress, have we.. Education is still holding the US back.

You'd think that American Christians would be keen to understand bronze age superstitions and their stories.

Just remember: a magic number of Christians must be killed for their faith before Jesus returns. It's been 2,000 years and that magic number hasn't been reached. In the meantime Sodom has to be rebuilt in all of its glory, Egypt has to be empty of people for 40 years, and all life in Judea has to be exterminated. So once Egypt starts to empty it'll be time to start worrying.

Well, religious indoctrination and related peer pressure, particularly when it involves an apocalyptic death meme like Christianity, are primary factors in stunting human potential.

What these people don't understand is that by denying the errors etc proven in the Bible they are actually lying by calling the Bible the 'infallible Word of God'. Faith doesn't come into it. Can you have faith in such a book?

Isn't that exactly what every other religion in the world claims occurs to their "true" religion?

It's you who needs to grow up. We can have different opinions on many things but when proveable facts are there opinion doesn't come into it. No army in ancient history could raise anywhere near the numbers quoted in the Bible for Judah and Israel. Not even Judah and Israel. Not even the mighty Assyrian or Babylonian empires. Not even Alexander the Great. The Roman Army at its peak could only raise 1/3rd of the Bible quote for Judah and Israel. You completely ignore facts

.Do you know the marching order given for the Hebrews? Do you know the camping order? Completely impossible. These were obviously made up by scribes with no understanding of desert life.

Carry on with your belief. If it pleases you to ignore reality - so be it.

Good idea to ignore me. You're not going to shake my faith in the Bible. My belief is the Bible is infallible, and that's the end of that. Now grow up and move on.

The Bible is objectively wrong on numerous topics. Do you think blind, unthinking faith is a virtue?

Sorry, it is not faith that is the foundation of fact that the bible is full of myths. My foundation is the plausible, possible application of the basic physical laws of the universe.
People can't live in the mouths of whales, they couldn't build a tower to the sky, there was not global flood, the noah story as written is a complete impossibility, and the red sea never parted (it was the reed sea).

So when referring to your faith its about religious belief and unquestioning belief in the existence of god, but when you refer to my faith you mean "belief in anything".

That is semantic word play and is not remotely equivalent in form, intensity, and object.

As for 1, you seem to feel that unquestioning belief that does not require proof is the same as no belief in the absence of proof? Logic dictates the argument for the existence of the unseen, unmeasured, undefined be proven, not that the unseen, unmeasured and undefined by disproved.

It's the only way they know. The thought that they may be wrong prevents any real study. It's what the church relied on for centuries.
