Actually, in our press it tends to be the opposite.

Here, the press loves to say how poor our equipment is, how it costs to much, how it performs badly, etc, etc, etc.

If you watch most mainstream media, all of our equipment is junk, and we are lucky it does not blow up in our faces every time it is used.

State run media however never says anything bad about the sponsoring state or it's military. The troops are supermen, the equipment is perfect and the best in the world, etc, etc, etc.

And most times, the US media does not report a story because there is normally little interest among most of the population. I am sure 98% of Americans could not care less about the launching of a Russian Sub, they are more interested in Honey Boo Boo. Iran launches a missile, who cares? Who is Brittney Agulera sleeping with this week, that is what is important!

But for those of us that do care about such things, we have our own places we go to for news like this. It is simply below the interest level of 90%+ of the general population. And probably ranks around my interest level of who the current rap star is.

Actually, that's a lot better use of propaganda than what Russia is doing. Our media says that our weapons blow up in our faces so that people are even more willing to spend huge amounts on the military. You are un-American if you don't want to spend more money protecting our troops.

Well, Iran have practically been left to their own devices for several hundred years and so far the worse they have given is a few patriotic speeches. But, hey, let's bomb them.

    Try this next time.

Inteting video. Funny how they never really say what PATRIOT is for, simply calling them missiles. And the reporter is constantly trying to stear the person being interviewed into saying things like their being there is disruptive and provocative. And the video clips running in the background was simply a stream of almost random images. A lot of them were of German missile batteries, then there was some from White Sands here in the US, then suddenly they threw in a bunch of video from Libya from last year.

Yea, that was a news piece as much as my mother is an Olympic athelete.
