The Tea Party Republicans are planning another federal shutdown (tantrum) if they don’t get everything they demand. This small percentage in the House has no fear of causing another financial crisis worse than the Great Republican Recession of 2008.

However, Boehner and the less radical Congressional Republicans are having second thoughts about following the looney TP congressmen in another politically losing adventure. Boehner and his gang understand that only the right-wingers blamed Obama and the Democrats for the shutdown and debt ceiling deadlock last October. Documented evidence proves the rest of America clearly blamed the House Speaker and the unyielding House Republicans.

The Tea Party Republicans have done everything possible to make this last Congress the most unproductive and damaging to average citizens in history. Boehner and the other Old White Men of the GOP now live in fear that their political careers are rapidly dying.

Boehner and the other long serving Republican House members know even the short memory of most voters will not allow time to forget another GOP caused crisis before the mid-term elections. The Tea Party led shutdown/showdown planned for early next year will be that crisis the Old White Men dread.

The Tea Party Republicans have proven beyond any doubt that they do not think more than a few months ahead, and disregard the damage caused by their asinine agenda. Realizing this fact, the Old White Men of the GOP know full well this next federal shutdown/debt ceiling crisis could have severe consequences for the U.S. economy that last well past election day 2014. They know these consequences will most likely end Republican hopes for 2016.

Why don't you save time and just post every two months that you hate the GOP and will always attribute to them every evil that occurs in the world while giving Obama a complete pass no matter how big a buffoon he is and how much damage to the country he has caused?

Gee, such a nuanced and pointed response.

Of course, it reeks of defeatism.

Hostage taking has cost the GOP every time they've tried it. Outside the right wing noise bubble, the public is tired of it.

You know it too. It reflects in your post!

Pointing out the truth to the right-wingers aggravates and agitates them. They have no cogent argument, so they rant and rave instead.

Seems like the only hostages are the american people, who the BIg Two Parties have convinced the world will end, if we don't continue to support the debt orgy that enriches the political and financial classes.

Yep, you are right. Imagine the mind of a voter who put a T-bagger in office. Crazy as those loons who keep Pelousie in office.

With Obama? Less and Less every day. Lies to the American People stonewalling congress. We were promised the most Open adminstration in history and what we've gotten is tricky dick on steroids with a nastier attitude into the bargain.

The fat cats run the government, despite the belief that the voters have a voice. Big Business hasn't finished looting the federal treasury, and as they work to bankrupt the nation, poverty will increase as the income gap widens.

The only way to stop the overwhelming influence of the wealthy wield over our government is to stop the giant political contributors and the superpacs they control.

Conservatives and neoconservatives are content to allow the status quo of the past three decades. Their trickle down agenda has had middle and lower income Americans lose considerable financial ground to increase the profits of the one percent, or as the right-wingers call them, the job creators. The American job creators that moved millions of jobs out of the country and now create mostly part time, minimum wage jobs, if they create any at all.

seems that the majority of both parties continue to proliferate the debt orgy, enriching their political contributors in the financial class.

Well, so far you couldn't be more wrong. The only hitch in the bill that has been passed by the house and currently in the Senate is the Republicans wanted to 1/2 the cut to vet retirees but the Dems would have nothing to do with it.

Like it or not, it has been the history of the GOP to fight any legislation that helps average Americans. Including Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, and many, many other beneficial programs that keep tens of millions of Americans from ill health and starvation.

and it is the history of the DEMS to promote legislation as "helping the average American", when in fact they only serve the same bunch of corporate entities as the GOP.

But the Democrats do occasionally throw the average Americans a bone, something done seldom, if ever, by the GOP.

You mean SS, Medicaid, Welfare, all of which are bankrupt and need reform? You mean the ever declining Public Education?

The Democrats have a myth surrounding them that does not match up to their historical performance. Some of the greatest Democratic statesmen(Jackson, Polk) would be noted "Republicans" and even JFK would be seen as a Centrist.(Which I am also).

In its history, Democrats have a below average rate of presidents. Perhaps James Madison.

You are in denial of the truth, and there is no changing a right wing mind. By all means support the Republicans as you always have, and enjoy all of the benefits their conservative agenda provide. You must know the list by heart.

The Recession of 2008 had nothing to do with the Government's Finances. There is in fact, no connection between that and an actual recession.

Frankly, if there's a Recession in Washington D.C. out of this, I'm not shedding any tears.

Yes, the dems are pretty good at stealing from others to give to special groups. Free stuff is a great incentive to get votes.

I reject the Neo-Cons, and I even waver on my Libertarian support on the account that Libertarians are philosophically unwilling to sheath the political sword for their purposes and that B: The only way Libertarians would ever get power, is for the country to finally understand and accept Libertarianism.

As we've seen just now, it's impossible for a Libertarian coalition.

Your the one in denial of the truth. FDR got his ass saved via war, LBJ sat over Vietnam and the Great Recession started with him(Reagan had to sit over it, and ironically if government "spending" supposedly rejuvenates the economy, then what happened with Reagan's spending?).

No, what Liberals(and Neo-Cons) have failed to understand is that Production is the source of all economic goods. The New deal didn't do squat, it was the reconstruction and the businesses opening up that fueled the American Economy. It was the necessity and the growth of the population from the Baby Boomers.

Clinton inherited the .Com bubble, he then decided to screw us over worse than any Republican Administration EVER via NAFTA.(And the WTO). And how I would be remiss to not mention the repeal of Glass-Stegall.

Then there's Mr. Lame Duck. Giving excessive power to the Fed, his do-nothing "reform". Enriching the fat cats of the tycoons on Wall Street and then the Insurance companies. Hey, when all else fails, blame the other party and accuse THEM of having no ideas. ROFL.

Obama will go down as the worst president since Woodrow Wilson(a fellow Democrat :D). If the country's still standing Post-Obama, it would have been an accomplishment in of itself that we can all celebrate irregardless of party.

Given the miniscule scraps provided from thirty years of the trickle down of Reaganomics that conservatives and neoconservatives mistakenly believe to be prosperity, which led to the steep decline of the American middle class, the scraps from the Democrats ARE indeed a feast for the 99%. Without those scraps, the American middle class would have died out during the Bush/Cheney administration.

without playing into their game, you could have cooked your own dinner. But as long as you enjoy being jerked around by the weenie, dancing for for the scraps, have at it.
