Paula Deen dropped by Food Network

Deen grew up in the South under Jim Crow. Why wouldn't she be a racist? Now all of the people who worked for her will pay the price for her actions.

Remember, that it was a Democrat, who utterly despised the KKKrap, who first desegregated the Army.

It was a radical Democrat who forced all defense contractors to pay the same wages to black males and white females that they would pay to a white male of similar experience.

The republicons freaked at that idea. They liked having a surplus labor pool that would work for even less than the deficient wages they were trying to pay white males.

We all know hos this Obama Adm. has maligned those from around Nashville.
When Memphis had the Flood of the century where downtown Memphis was
actually under water,the media didn't report on it and aid was very slow to arrive.
Same thing with Gibson guitar who was Swat teamed over some wood they
imported.The same exact wood that Martin Guitar imported and used but Martin
guitar donated to the Democrat Party where the Owner of Gibson was a Republican.
I think this is part of a pattern to target both the South { MSNBC ran numerous
bigoted attempts to slander the South last summer with it's Suppression of
Voting charges } and also how Obama's IRS persecuted Conservative and
Christian groups.Why Deen and why now.To keep this White House pattern of
persecution alive and well.What better person to target than a bubbly food
maven with great zeal and popularity and also a Southerner.I say this smacks of
politicalization.Take out as many anti-liberal southerners as possible.

Blacks, Hispanics and other minorities get away with calling white people names such as honky, cracker, whitey, gringo because such racial slurs do not, or should not, offend white people. White people should be proud and honored to be called names by minorities. White people should be glad to be honkies, crackers, gringos, etc. Such intended racial slurs against them, distinguishes whites from minorities.

I'm a white Spaniard, and I swell with pride whenever a minority calls me a cracker. To me it's not an insult -- it's an honorific!

Ordinarily I would agree. But her rationalization is disturbing. It seem to me that she probably still uses the word quite a bit, as perhaps do many of the people around her. It's "no big deal" to them.

Let this go, and you'll have every bigot on this board using it in a few weeks time.

 

Speaking of.....wonder how many here in this thread can actually say they have NEVER uttered any word or phrase that could be construed as a slur against race, creed, gender, religion...etc.

I don't usually watch TV cooking shows, except for an occasional episode of Giada de Laurentis on "Everyday Italian". She makes my tongue hard, and is probably even more delicious than the food she prepares!

Back on topic, if they're going to tar-and-feather Paula Dean and run her off then I'm going to make it a point to buy anything she's selling as often as I see it. I despise racism, which includes discriminating against anybody, for any reason. OOOPS!! How many hyperlibs are offended by Reverse-Discrimination (a.k.a., "affirmative action").... -- "Wait! slaves.The Democrats were on board with the creation of the KKK and also
Jim Crow laws in the south.
Another Republican { President Eisenhower } made available the 1957 Civil
Rights act where a majority of Democrats voted it down and even Filibustered.
J.F.K. was among one of the Senators in 1957 who voted nay on the '57 civil
rights act.As did Bill Clinton's mentor { J. William Fulbright } a devout segregationist.
Know thy history.If anything the demopcrat party has seen fit to put the Black man
on the Government Plantation of dependency.

 

I have friends her age, also born and raised in the deep south and wigger(with an N) flows as freely as y'all. It's generational and cultural and that stuff is hard to break when you grew up with it.

Food Network sucks anyway. They used to show all kinds of great cooking shows with interesting characters (2 Fat Ladies comes to mind) but now it's all bogus competition crapolla. I haven't watched in years.
