If it has to be it's better to get it over with now than later. Bring it on.

Many people believe every word the Pentagon utters, no questions asked.

There are pictures everywhere from what and who on this incident that the US was too Trump to admit they were in the wrong.

    I sure don't.

But I would even believe that the Russians changed course, to claim the right of way from starboard. But you know... there is no rule against that. The US was just to petty to comply. Total joke to go complain this. I think I can hear the Russians laugh all the way from "my basement".

I think more than Russians are laughing about this.

The US consistently violates all manner of international agreements.

Uhhh Blinda, the Americans were at fault, not the Russians - and Moscow submitted a major complaint. But leave it to Washington to cover up their actions with lies.

Sounds more you just accept the "truth" form the WH, because you know... murica nr1 is more important to keep up than finding out who has the right of way in a rather simple encounter, and make up your own mind.

    Whose a bot now?

This entire section seems to be infested with them. Along with the other sections on this website.

So now Bush and Obama were Russians agents also and not just Trump? Because this has been going on for like 20 years.

What is it exactly that "has been going on for like 20 years"? High-placed Russians agents in the Whine House or let's blame everything on Russia?

Arming and supporting Islamist extremists in their efforts to kill and persecute Christian non combatants in Syria is nothing to be proud of.

    That's possible.

    Yep.

No doubt about it. The American obviously lost "the joust" but instead of being good sports they whimpered and snitched. Definitely a good hoot for the Ruskies! I'm sure they see the American captain as a "pushover" ... "слабовольный человек"- ("slabovol'nyy chelovek").

Sure. And that's why the Russians still got Syria in their sphere of influence and Assad won the most.

Jeez! Nobody is talking about what really happened.

    1. The US and Russian ships were on parallel courses.

    2. The US ship was committed to a straight-line course, heading dead into the wind at a steady speed, BECAUSE A HELICOPTER WAS ABOUT TO LAND ON ITS DECK.

    3. The Russian ship mashed on the gas pedal, then made a hard left to cut in front, in order to claim right-of-way.

If you're gonna play chicken, sack up and don't be a whiney bitch. The US ship didn't try to yield at all and the Russian ship did. Don't start complaining if they got within a 100' of you if you aren't steering away from them. The Russians are laughing, no doubt.

"The US ship didn't try to yield at all..."

The US ship hit the brakes. Look at their wakes. It's obvious who is running at speed and who is stopped.

As I see the Russian trolls are divided. Some of them are saying that Russian ship did nothing wrong as it had a right of the way, while others are claiming that Russians played chicken against Americans and won. Decide already which one it is, because you can't have it both.

But the Russian ship had the right of way. Besides, couldn't the Americans tell the helicopter to wait awhile? So tell me, what did the American captain expect, that the Russians will bow to them and give up the rights that are legally theirs? Has Russia ever done that?

Seems like Washington doesn't get it, and once again is testing Russia's resolve. The Americans were playing a game of chicken and Russia stood its ground and won.

The vessel being overtaken has the right of way. The vessel overtaking is the give-way vessel.

    Link?

The only video that I've seen was taken from the deck of the US ship.

Yes, the US ship is moving. That's why there's a wake at all. How about if I say that, relatively speaking, it's stopped?

It's too bad that those photos weren't taken from a higher altitude. It's also too bad that the video didn't start much sooner. It could then show the ships' relative positions and courses and which turned into which. The second picture appears to support the US version of events, but I can't tell for sure.
