The head of a law enforcement advocacy group lashed out at President Barack Obama in the wake of the Dallas shootings that left five police officers dead, accused the president of carrying out a "war on cops."
“I think [the Obama administration] continued appeasements at the federal level with the Department of Justice, their appeasement of violent criminals, their refusal to condemn movements like Black Lives Matter, actively calling for the death of police officers, that type of thing, all the while blaming police for the problems in this country has led directly to the climate that has made Dallas possible,” William Johnson, the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, said in an interview with Fox on Friday morning.

Johnson said although the Thursday night shooting of law enforcement officers reminded him of “the violence in the streets in the 60’s and 70’s,” he pointed out how Obama’s response appeared different than his predecessors.
“I think one of the big differences then was you had governors and mayors and the president — whether it was President Johnson or President Nixon, Republican or Democrat — condemning violence against the police and urging support for the police,” Johnson said. “Today that's markedly absent. I think that's a huge difference, and that's directly led to the climate that allows these attacks to happen.”
"It's a war on cops," Johnson also said. "And the Obama administration is the Neville Chamberlain of this war."

then he turns around and praises President Nixon?

Obama has condemned violence against the police and urged support for the police..... saying he has not would be a lie, this guy saying this stuff is not credible

I posted these numbers elsewhere on this board. But Obama went out of his way to mention racial disparity when a black guy is shot by a cop but is silent when white people eat lead. Screw Obama, he's about as racist as a politician can get and to compare him to Nixon only insults Nixon. Why is it that Obama only speaks of police misconduct when blacks are the victims, huh? That racist fool does everything possible to let blacks think they're victims and that he's on their side and that has only emboldened other racists like the black lives matter terrorists.

blacks are unfairly targeting blacks, true

some blacks are causing bias by cops against other blacks be resisting arrest and being violent a larger percent of time... also true

both sides have to be careful not to judge all by the acts of the few

most cops are good, most blacks are good, most whites are good, ect....

we need to make sure we are punishing the bad people via the system, not the good through violence

William Johnson is entitled to his opinion, even if he is wrong on this accusation he made.

 

Did you read and comprehend? Those stats show those killed by police separated by race, which shows white is much higher numbers, so what does that have to do with what Obama said about the police killed in Dallas. How can anyone say blacks are unfairly targeted by police when the stats show otherwise. Why is it that when a black person is killed by police, it's on national news and the DOJ immediately becomes involved. Why is it that if all these white people are also killed by police but we've never heard a peep about them. If someone doesn't know those stats, you'd swear the police are only killing blacks. It's all a lot of BS that the president has only made worse by saying things like "the cops acted stupidly" or saying the killings in Minn. and LA were due to race, before he even knew the facts.

Yep, millions of people are just delusional in their assessment that Obama has been purposefully divisive splitting the citizenry into fragments of opposition. He is amazing at bringing about the opposite of the outcome that would be attained by a competent leader striving for the unification and overall improvement of the citizenry as a whole.

So, we completely ignore all the other actions and comments he has made because of this one. He condemned this one, but he's chosen the side of the thug in all the other ones. Or let his officials choose the side of the thugs. He let Eric Holder claim that cops are mean to blacks, etc. There's no denying where his head has been throughout his tenure.

He was on an international stage when he gave those comments. He has to look good to the world. When he gets back, it will be a different story.
