Well I did start at first but it was over a great period of time. While much of what these politicians do is meet and greet then I would smack him for spending so much, I just hesitate at condemning him without further evidence.

Australia's eastern neighbours the KIWI’s number one
    same link

Pointing out that Australia has slid for 4 years might be something, but consider this
    again same link

So now as the parties go quiet on the subject hoping the electorate will forget and forgive The people need to demand far better from their politicians and government agencies.

    STOP THE CORRUPTION

Turnbull has done it now, I am sure both sides want him gone now,
    But that is not all,

So we will see how this IPEA goes, if is just going to be a body who follows orders or actually makes a difference. I am cynical about it but we should see what else he has got…

Yes he is on the plank now. Then again he may think it is a diving board and do a double tuck, backflip. He is good at back-flipping. Must of had his lessons from Peter Beattie.

I laugh at him. He has chosen this as his last stand???? I know there are a lot of people who view this topic as a major problem, but it pales into insignificance when compared to career bureaucrats and the life long pensions they retire on after twenty years of service. Not even a blip on the sum.

He could of chosen any contentious subject to make this stand.........and long ago. Gay marriage, environment, super, corporate tax, GST, any number of more important issues. BUT no he chose this one to whimper out on.

He obviously thought the public discontent whipped up by mainstream media would create a perfect ledge in which to fight his last battle. In the end if he is shown the door it will all be forgotten in months and his name forever bound inside a book of history.

If he took his stand on Gay rights he would forever be held in reverence by a swathe of supporters, or the same with the environment. He would of still been shown the door, but at least he would not of been forgotten as easily.

He is a truly perplexing individual, and quite possibly too dithering to be a PM.

I believe he is far too weak for PM. I thought he might be ok before when he learnt some lessons from his previous dalliance as the opposition leader. But nothing he has done has shown any strengths.

I think he chose this subject because he thought, as every time it comes up, he could make a few incidental changes and look like he is making a difference and the public will go with him. I guess it is a start but as I said before I am very cynical as to the legitimacy and the depth these changes will go along with the rest of his changes.

As you point out, while this subject is contentious it is low on the list. People do not like to see corrupt activities go unpunished or even just ignored. However, they would rather address issues directly affecting them than play policy games with politicians who are more interested in protecting their own benefit rather than representing the people who elect them…

Wasn’t sure where to make comment on this but since it is related in the article.

Both members seem to have taken Turnbull's lead and are attempting to make their political stand on this subject as well. The continued hypocrisy of MacDonald is demonstrated in the article and as they seem far more attuned to increase the minimum serving time of PM to earn such clearly smells like attempt at retribution for not getting their way under Abbott and Turnbull government. I do believe they are trying to kill two birds with one stone.

I don't believe this will work well for them as their motives are already in questions...
