Too bad the voting populace is not that efficient with many members of Congress..

But it does matter. This is a guilt by association thing. If people don't like AOC, and they think the Democratic Party is "defined" by her, that aversion is going to carry over to others with a (D).

That's not what the poll shows at all. They didn't poll her "colleagues in other districts and states", they polled voters.

Even though your predictions have proven to be garbage (as well as your promises of what you will do if your predictions are wrong), I hope you are right. I personally don't care if the Bronx continues to have an idiot for a representative (seems fitting actually), I want her to stay to keep the Democrat civil war going.

You're free to think that if you want to but critical thinkers should already know that guilt by association isn't valid criticism for a politician, or anyone for that matter.

I'm describing the impact of the poll; not the poll itself.

I think Trump saw how unpopular AOC, etc are to voters.

    So he hit them hard.

That doesn't mean that it won't happen anyway. The whole point of having parties is that the members are supposed to be somewhat like-minded. So when you've got a very "out in front" Democrat pushing crazy things, it's not a huge stretch to think that that is what the Democrats believe in now, else why are they in the same party?

It may have that impact as well.

Trump inviting loony democrats to leave the country is actually very cunning.

They have very low popularity amongst democrats (internal polling).

Now pelosi and the rest get to defend highly unpopular dems that they themself cant stand.

That doesn't make it any less fallacious. If AOC becomes an influential member of the Democrats and the majority of the members in her party are adopting her ideas, I would say that it is not a huge stretch. However, why should anyone merely assume all Democrats believe the same things, especially if they're too busy fighting one another?

Not everyone or everything exists in a monolith. Hopefully, voters will realize this; unlikely that they will.

A husband and wife, Republican and Democrat, did a study on the foregoing question and discovered that the kids going in to college were already pretty far left. It's a self-selecting mechanism, where those who are leftist are more inclined to go to college than those who are more right-of-center. They found that kids going in to college were actually slightly more likely to come out having switched to Republican than Democrat, though the numbers who switched were low for both sides. This fits, moreover, with what Allan Bloom (The Closing of the American Mind) found back in the 1960s when he was teaching college and suddenly found his students left of Che Guevara and unwilling to listen to alternative (read: conservative) viewpoints. The older professors at the time didn't share the Baby Boomers' left-wing views, so they didn't become leftists in college, they were already leftists when they went in.

    Relax.

They're bringing in 140k new people every month who will gladly vote for AOC, even if they don't know they voted.

She's the face of the democrat party.

Too valuable to not get coverage, I'd say.

Even Fox news mocks Trump on his racist rant against immigrants who aint white.
If Trump had a problem with all immigrants, than he should start with kicking out that tramp of a wife of his.

I don't pay any attention to Trump's rants, so I didn't see what he said, but the left tends to make any and every criticism of blacks and Hispanics about their race, even when the criticism is about their political views. About a thousand times a day, Republicans were accused of racism towards Obama when they weren't saying anything about Obama they didn't say about Clinton. The racism card is dead and doesn't play anymore, give it up.

Well he made it rather obvious it wasn't aimed at white immigrants like his wife, only brown/black people. So there you go.

AOC speaks for her district. The Democratic Party is more than her myopic view of the issues. In my opinion, she is a self serving dilettante.

    Quote?

She doesn't even speak for her district. I'm not sure why she gets all the attention and all the headlines, maybe because she puts herself out there in a way no other Democrat does, but as long as she continues doing that, she IS the face of the Democrats to the general American population, and as long as that continues, the Republican party is going to be fine.

He's the POTUS that deported an actual Nazi that was here under every other POTUS.

If you didn't know, actual Nazi's were white.

How does this even makes sense? AOC is the loudest; therefore, she speaks for everyone with a D in front of their name? You can't possibly think that is rational
