I just linked a BBC article stating that "heads will roll" over Benghazi. What, now you don't trust BBC?

Here's an NPR story quoting the Lybian president, who claimed it was a pre-planned attack.

You didn't link to an article you linked to an editorial. An opinion piece. And one that turned out to be wrong. No heads have rolled and no wrong doing has been found.

Gowdy's committee is adjourned? I didn't know that.

It's the opinion of a BBC EDITOR, not some unknown schmuck in Word Press blog from his mother's basement.

I have a pretty good theory, backed by nothing more than my own observations so take it for what it's worth.

The people I work with, neighbors etc... who are big Fox Fanatics are also heavy Church Goers who are used to listening to the man on the pulpit telling it like it is, or how it should be and that his congregation just needs to have faith in the almighty. Faith over Facts often from my point of view.

Most of the more progressive, liberal or even independent minded people are skeptics of all news sources anymore, and rarely if ever tune into a new channel of any type and turn to different media sources for information. IE they have left TV behind and distrust the lot of them.

In essence, I would say this tends to lend credence to my opinion of the matter, and to put it bluntly, the Luddites have always clung to the old models long after they should have been put to pasture.

Most people I know who lean Progressive, Liberal, etc... even Independents normally only use anything said on Fox news as a reason to shake our heads in disbelief that anyone would take them seriously. Then again there were always people who thought the world was flat at one time too.

As does CNN, MSNBC, and every other major news outlet in the country. Biased news gets better ratings, hence all the news outlets are biased. What does leave me scratching my head, is how such a large portion of the population is incapable of recognizing bias when the bias of a particular information source matches their own views.

Agreed. and I think it's because Fox especially backs into the content to make it suit what righties want to hear. It leaves the impression that Fox brainwashes people, but they more accuratly find out what mkes them angry and tuned in, then alter what they present to accomodate the exisiting brackish goo they call brains.

Same on the left, only it doesn't bother me as much because I'm a lefty
