As an initial matter, I am not sure claiming that he should not be held to the standards of journalistic ethics because he is not a journalist is a winning argument, from an optics standpoint.

Hannity, very recently, pushed back on this notion that he is just a commentator during his mini feud with ... ah damn, name escapes me, but he is another fox news host. Sean said that he often breaks news for his viewers and that he conducts in depth investigations as a couple of examples for why he is more than a commentator.

 

Trump is more likely to fire Mueller than the likelihood that Mueller will find nothing.

 

Well, I don't see the TV show because I don't have cable but I do catch the tail end of the radio show in my afternoon drive. Yesterday he was talking about this very thing.

 

Can you link to even one CNN or MSNBC story that makes any of those allegations? Because I don't recall any CNN story (I don't read MSNBC) that makes any of those allegations.

If the Trump Justice Department's Republican Special Counsel is allowed to complete his patriotic mission into the US democratic process having been subverted by a hostile foreign power, the facts that emerge will incriminate some and exonerate others, and the report he submits will be assessed by the Republican-run Congress to make such determinations.

Why some behave as if they don't expect those facts to clear them is still speculative.
