Obama, a commie who has stolen from us in order to provide Obamacare to his street thug "brothers", has been a disaster for the USA.

Pretty much anyone would be an improvement on Obama.

Which one of the following would be the biggest improvement on Obama?

I greatly admire Vladimir Putin for the love and total devotion he commits to his Mother Russia. He is a very serious, intelligent, capable man who energetically pursues the best interests of Russia, and the Russian people. I'm trying to remember when we have ever had a president quite like Putin. Most recently, I suppose that in many ways the closest comparison would be Ronald Reagan. But, going back a lot longer, maybe a better comparison would be Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt (NOT to be confused with that treacherous socialist relative of Teddy's who was also a president, named Franklin).

I nominate Vladimir Putin for President of the United States. Who cares if he isn't a natural born citizen? Obama wasn't one either and nobody cared about that. Maybe we could just get some of Putin's DNA and just clone him. We could even have him being born in the USA with a real birth certificate, a real social security number and everything!

I do like the idea of cloning Putin! Maybe if we used genetic engineering to formulate our leaders we'd get fewer of them like "W" Bush and Obama!

Actually, Bill Clinton was pretty good -- certainly by comparison with the POS that we have stinking up the White House today. If we had a system like they do in Russia, where a president can be in office for two consecutive terms, be out of office, and then be able to run again, I'd be in favor of Bill running again. But never that half-witted, lying ***** he married.... She will wear Benghazi around her neck like an albatross for the rest of her life.

Putin is a hard nosed leader. I really think he does a lot to improve and protect his country. Obama had the gall to call him nothing more then a regional politician. WTF is Obama? ISIS is 20 times more of a threat to us then Putin. I think it was a bad move to push back so hard at Putin. He is a European problem and has little to do with us.

Conservatives do love Putin- the former communist, KGB agent and corrupt oligarch.

I do think the far right would pay good money to put Putin in as President of the United STates.

Teddy was just as bad, if not worse than FDR. For ensuring Wilson's election alone he deserves that title.

FDR was bad, but Teddy began it all.

While I disagree that Teddy Roosevelt was anywhere near so bad as Frankie Roosevelt, I would agree that the election of Woody Wilson was one of the worse things that has happened to this country. Why? Because hyperliberals like Woody gave us the Federal Reserve System combine in 1913, and, because Wilson needlessly got the U. S. involved in World War I.

I see Teddy's "progressive" stance in the context of the late 19th Century, with monopolistic "trusts", oppressive child labor practices, and devastation of our national landscape for the sake of greed being the enemy he fought against.

And as far the idea of the Federal Reserve System was concerned, Teddy Roosevelt wrote, "Issue of currency should be lodged with the government and be protected from domination by Wall Street. We are opposed toÂ…provisions [which] would place our currency and credit system in private hands.".

For the last 101 years, the Federal Reserve combine has run the economy of the country, even though it is, of course, NOT part of the Federal Government. Teddy would be appalled if he could see what we have today -- a stock market that is overvalued by at least 40%, and free market supply-and-demand monetary policies that squash interest rates at near zero, while the prices of nearly everything have gone up sharply over the last three years. And all of this while nearly all working people haven't a decent raise in their pay since 2007 (if then....).

I don't know any conservatives who love Putin, so I guess that's another of your many untruths. It's understandable that some think Putin would be an improvement over Obama though.

Can you do the left a favor? The right has been calling the democrats and liberals socialists, communists, and marxists for the last 80 to possibly 110 years. It's getting old and it doesn't work. Can you think of something new?

Leftists, fifth columnists, nation-haters, hysterics, clueless, gormless, pie-in-the-sky leg tinglers, race-hustlers, baiters, and agitators, bigots, cop haters, weak on foreign policy. How's that?

Would you prefer Putin to be the President of the United States instead of President Obama?

I seriously doubt that Putin would mimic that quote by Teddy Roosevelt

Putin would love nothing more than the reunification of the USSR and the rebirth of totalitarian style communism reinstated in 'Mother Russia'. I honestly don't believe that these goals align themselves with American Conservatism. Liberalism possibly.

Great leaders, like Ronald Reagan and Theodore Roosevelt, along with callow, autocratic dictators, like to think that they are always acting in the best interests of the "Mother" country. If a leader does not believe in himself, he cannot effectively lead anyone else. This was true of Hitler, Churchill, Washington, Cromwell, Charlemagne, (how far should we go back in time...?)....

Putin does, indeed, believe in himself, but don't be too certain that he wants the return of the Soviet Union. If you read what is, IMHO, the best biography of Putin, simply titled, "Putin", by Chris Hutchins and Alexander Korobko, you see a portrait of a man who was done no special favors by the Soviet system or any of its big-wigs -- many of whom were stupid and shortsighted. Putin owed a great deal to the man who actually had a great deal to do with insuring the breakup of the Soviet Union -- Boris Yeltsin, even though it was Yeltsin's alcoholic stupidity that created the ability for all of Russia's valuable assets to be practically given away to the emerging Russian criminal class -- the oligarchs! Putin has been fighting against them for 15 years! Putin has a lot on his "plate", but he chews his way through it, one "bite" at a time -- and always with the idea of doing what is best for Russia!

Obama, on the other hand, quite obviously disregards, distrusts, and dislikes nearly everything about the United States he became president of in 2009. He sees value in tying us up in "coalitions", to build "consensus" with other countries, and for us to do nothing without the approval and participation of others, like France, and England. Yet Obama has very restricted interests and surprisingly limited knowledge of the world, except for Africa.

He enjoyed being a celebrity, a Black novelty, when he was being gushed over and given a completely undeserved Nobel Peace Prize by adoring, liberal Europeans five years ago. Today (TODAY), he can't get the same people who kissed his ass then to give him the kind of cooperation he wants in a duel with ISIS: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2014/09/11/how_willing_is_obama_s_coalition

Poor Obama! He's despised by nearly everyone in the United States who isn't getting some variety of welfare-suck from the government, and, he's regarded with contempt or indifference abroad. He is a liar and a crass manipulator who, like so many other socialist autocrats, has clearly indicated that he will be happy to rule this country with his "pen and phone". His vapid, listless approach to being a President of the United States inspires and motivates no one -- except our enemies....

But how does a real leader lead? What does he stand for? Maybe ISIS can show us! ISIS has recently issued direct threats against both the United States and Russia -- let's see who ISIS fears more, and who they are willing to fight against more. Sometimes a man's enemies can tell you a great deal about the man himself.... :omg:

A majority of the American electorate decided that the President was the better option twice, and those alienated from America have been in a snit since 2008.

Yes, he's been mediocre - better than his predecessor, of course, but no where near as good as his predecessor.

So, he'll serve for two more years. Will his approval level amongst the American people plunge to the depth of his predecessor's before he leaves office?

    Who knows?

The one prediction that one can make with assurance is that the Angry White Guys - who got in a tizzy over the popular election of the first non-White president with their delusional, hysterical raving about his being foreign-born, madrasa-educated, a devotee of a protestant minister in Chicago, a socialist, a communist, an opponent of the Bush's multi-trillion dollar nation-building fiascos, etc., and minced around with their puerile depictions of him as an African witch doctor because of his skin colour and his having stolen Romney's "individually-mandated" universal health coverage idea - are destined to bite the dust.

Who would be an improvement on the loathed TPs (22% support)?

Well just have to wait and see, but it's a very, very low hurdle.
