My father is retired from the Army infantry. He wants me to settle down with a nice Army infantry Captain. I don't know how he'd feel about me dating a Marine. But I guess if the Marine was an officer it'd be okay.
Why a Captain? In just a few short years after you two marry, he'll be at the bottom end of the battalion. What's your deal with enlisted vs. officer? I'm enlisted and have a higher education than many officers, especially LT's. Many captains now are required to get their masters I believe.
Funny how I too have been to Temecula where took a lovely girl who wanted me to go to her local town to take her out. First time I met her, she was hot. For me to drive from the SF Bay area, to get with her, she had to be hot. We had a nice dinner at Claim Jumper.
When I was the CC of HQ/HQ 1st Bn, 30th Infantry, we did have a few Lt's at HQ. But of course captains and above were pretty common. Majors as well. Oh my avatar is the hat pin of that unit. - - - Updated - - - Captains pay might be why. It has been a bit of time but I think Captains pay is higher than any enlisted. Now my challenge to me is look up the pay scales again.

I had a HOT LADY friend that lived at Fallbrook. A short hop from Temecula. Fallbrook is the avocado capital of the USA. One has to drive off the freeway and it backs up to the Marine base.
I have stayed at various locations off highway 15. I did not tour the wineries but this moment kind of wish I had. We have so many of them locally probably is why.

There has to be a guard on duty from the Fallbrook side. i have been on the Camp Pendleton site but entered from highway 5. From Temecula or Fallbrook, it is a long long drive to the entry on the highway 5 side. What should she do? Enter and partly disrobe?
Captains are overrated babysitters and paper pushers. I like the LTs because they'd patrol with us routinely. Cherry LT's are fun to mess with. I'm not much of an officer guy
