I love when Republicans speak out against Trump. It shows me there are still those in the Republican party that have some integrity. We need more of it, not less. And the more unhinged Trump gets, the more of them will feel brave enough to do it.

 

If I were Murkowski, and I read a tweet saying private citizen Trump was going to come to Alaska in 2022 to campaign against me (assuming his ankle monitor will allow that), I'd have a single word tweet in response.....

Hey, Lisa, how does it feel now having voted for giving Trump a pass in the impeachment trial? Think you made a mistake? Well, at least she woke up now. Let's hope she is the first of a line of GOP Senators who see the light. However, my feeling is that most of them are too far down the Trump rabbit hole to jump the sinking ship.

 

I agree with that, I'd rather a young, pro-US Nationalist running(hint: myself or someone of that breed), I'd rather anyone who could change America's direction.(I profess to the strong possibility of voting democratic if Andrew Yang were either the nominee or at least on the ticket, now that's actual progressiveness.)

Alas, the Democratic Party has no progress, or meaningful progress. So the DNC chose the perfect candidate to represent what it really is. Old, rusty and unresponsive to the needs of the people.

 

She made the right vote then, no matter how she feels about the President now. If the argument goes that it was okay to withhold funds for a US national security interest, then it is frankly our national security to vet whether or not our former VP was engaged in a pay to play type of operation.

Yeah, see how that works? The same justification for the Obama Administration's directives, easily applies to the Trump Administration. As it turns out, the Ukrainians had finished their probe and cleared Hunter Biden of any wrongdoing. Now, see, that could've been done months earlier. You could've called all witnesses, cleared the Biden's and everything is solved.

Nope, had to turn it into an impeachment circus. Had to make a laughable suggestion of a "quid pro quo" when in the same article, the Ukrainians repeat that they weren't pressured. They just want to be left alone, and out of our politics.

I wish Democrats would stop trying to "remove" Trump, and start trying to campaign against Trump. Do you remember how we engaged the process for the other 44 Presidents? Time to get back to that.

The only thing that I agree with you about is that it was follih go try to impeach that guy when the party who hold all of the cards is of the same party as the Impeachee. Yes the Dems should have but their effort in building a strong campaign and concentrate on winnable states. If Dems are smart they will play guerrilla warfare in other states as a distraction and to get the Donald to campaign or at least run ads in states he will win.

 

The Dems are short on rational non radical younger candidates. That young Latino chick from the Bronx is on the planet Saturn with socialist tendancies. The problem the Dems have is that they are trying to be all things to people.

I think the most interesting example of that is likely to come from the Alabama (where else?) R primary run off on July 14th

Trump supports the football guy, but Sessions has the creds and full name recognition (although any football coach in Alabama automatically has name recognition).

I imagine whoever wins will beat poor old Doug Jones down in Confederate territory, but I'll be watching to see who it is...
