Ah yes, using the government to attack entities you don’t like… Sounds like fascism. Odd that you are cheering that after you have labeled yourself pro-free speech previously

Where was the outrage with my pillow and Goya? Hypocritical stances are hypocritical

Companies like Tesla and Amazon have already said they will pay for employees to go out of state to receive medically assisted abortion — they are taking a stand. And Disney will come out on top far after DeSantis is in a nursing home,

That is the point of this effort. To get companies back into the neutral no position mode on social/ political matters not directly affecting their business model and shareholders value. That this effort has to be taken is irritating but backing Disney down from their position was a great start

Like Michael Jordan said when someone was trying to bait him into a political comment: "Republicans buy shoes too."

    BLACKROCK BACKS OFF

"Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing is one of the evils of our time. It seeks to force publicly-traded companies to take left-wing policy positions. Perhaps the number one force behind ESG has been BlackRock, Inc., the world’s largest asset manager with $10 trillion under management."

    That's a LOT of money.

"BlackRock has warned it will vote against most shareholder green activism this year for being too extreme, in a significant u-turn by the world’s biggest money manager."

"The company said it was concerned about proposals to stop financing fossil fuel companies, including forcing them to decommission assets and setting absolute targets for reducing emissions in their supply chains."

"In a stewardship report, the asset manager said: “We do not consider [the proposals] to be consistent with our clients’ long-term financial interests.”"

What turned on the light bulb?

"The decision to distance itself from “prescriptive” climate change policies comes as institutional investors face criticism for pushing political agendas."

"Vivek Ramaswamy, a US health and technology entrepreneur, launched an “anti-woke” investment fund that will urge companies to focus on making money rather than championing political causes."

"Mr Ramaswamy said the new venture, Strive Asset Management, has already received a host of job applications from employees at BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street – what he dubbed an “ideological cartel”."

Controlling society through corporations was the approach of Italian Fascism. Hopefully this drives a stake through it's evil heart.

I hope you are right about that stake!
