Diversion noted, so why didn't he go to MS and AL and speak to the people who lost their homes there? Did he go to Metarie and Kenner in NOLA, the Garden District?

    - - - Updated - - -

He went to MS to speak to the people there too.

You said he was there saying the same things as Obama, so can you quote him blaming Republicans or not?

I heard a woman interviewed the other saying "Nagin never told us to evacuate, he never told us to". I evacuated 260 miles inland for Katrina and Ivan which hit us worse. I didn't wait until the mayor or the governor told me to do so.

There have been HUGE sums of money spent there building new section 8 housing, better than the apartments I use to have to rent as a young man.

In of itself, it's the problem with our country(if you don't mind me generally speaking. I know there are surely outstanding examples in our country). Many people have become complacent, which in turn has made all forms of government complacent which is why we have what we have now. I want to make our budgets an annual 10-year thing.

Imagine, once you write a budget that budget is in effect for 10 years, with the only alterations being to micromanage certain costs if necessary(IE: A program that might've cost this much, costs that much the next year). If government operated like this, there is no shut down. You wanna know who operates like that? Businesses. All of the best businesses project how their companies will do 5-25 years and plan accordingly.

This year-to-year crap is only purposeful for giving politicians a carrot to say they give a damn. All politicians regardless of party try to pretend they care, but they don't. So I guess the billion dollar question is: Why do we? Lol.

As has been noted, you bought the big lie, just like so many other liberals.

For beginners, the Federal Government cannot go in until requested by the Governor. Who was Blanco. She dithered for more than 48 hours, even ignoring requests by the Bush Admin before Katrina hit to request the Feds. Blanco did not run for reelection, btw. Then there's Mayor Nagin, now in jail. Who gave the mandatory evacuation order at least 24 hours too late, and made it pretty much "every man for himself .... go to the Superdome", which was not properly equipped, again the fault of the locals. If you still need to blame Bush, give a guess as to what this picture is, and then what it meant: 220px-Bus_yard-rotate.jpg

    https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Contro...Orleans_Mayor_failed_to_follow_hurricane_plan

The problem was that Bush and the rest of the GOP had too much class to blame the true jackasses after the event. God knows the liberals have no such restraint though.

What's made up about? If it weren't for the second amendment and the citizens who banded together to form militias it would have been worse. They had to protect themselves from the roving bands of criminals looting and raping and killing to get their way when the government failed to protect them.

Uhhhhh, if you recall, New Orleans had a black mayor Ray Nagin, that did NOT heed warnings, and kept telling the feds that he had it under control, BEFORE THE HURRICANE HIT...THEN, he started blaming the feds and Bush for not doing enough. Nagin was later sent to prison, federal inmate No. 32751-034, for bribery and fraud committed while he was in office.

No it was not I know people who lived there and had to use their weapons to defend their families and property. The leftwing media just attempted to downplay it.

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/2005/09/05/residents-stay-to-protect-neighborhood-from-looters.html

There were no police residents were on their own.

Prove it. While some of the stories about the Dome were exaggerations by a few there out on the streets it was anarchy.

I know facts arent something the right cares about but 15% of NOLA police left their post, not good but saying there were no police is just a lie.
