I agree with you! Both Idiot "W" Bush and Idiot Obama were nothing but simple-minded, negligent STOOGES for the Federal Reserve System "central bank". We would have been better off, frankly, if neither of them had ever gone into politics at all!

I'm especially bitter about Bush because he COULD have had a magnificent presidency, but he threw it all away on abjectly stupid policies in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

But Obama? He was nothing but a hand-picked 'poster-boy' for political-correctness and the glorification of a socialism-lite, America-hating variety of 'blackness'. Typically, and vastly overrated, South Chicago sewage....

I don't blame you for this. I probably know how you feel. There are others like myself that feel the way you do on this.

I voted for both Bush & Obama for their first terms, only. I was supremely dissapointed.

Candidate Obama did one hell of a job demonstrating he knew what was going on with the country. Unfortunately, he never told President Obama.

I think a lot of us who voted for Obama in 2008 had buyer's remorse, and didn't repeat the mistake in 2012.

Unfortunately it's not just in government.

It could be hardball but they respected each other.

You got it right. Trump was proving that he has diarrhea of the mouth. He just can't keep his mouth shut.

Trump had to debate Wallace and Biden. He beat them both with one hand tied behind his back.

If ONLY Trump had 'played it cool' and waited for ol' Joe to wander further off into sentences that have no basis in English language construction, or any real logical 'meaning', either.

Instead, he POUNCED! Did you ever watch a house cat carefully stalk something, so quiet and stealthy... but then jump out too quickly, knocking over everything within five feet, while letting the 'target' escape...? That's the mistake that Trump made.

Next time, Trump should be still for a while and let Joe make a total blathering, embarrassing ASS out of himself, which he almost always does when he's given enough time to do so. You can bring up HOURS of such Biden 'entertainment' just by browsing the internet....

I don't think he has that much self-control.

Debates may not happen. We'll see if Trump gets sicker. He's reported as showing mild symptoms right now, but he only tested positive about 10 hours ago.

Personal data is the new currency. That said, only those who wish to be led are being manipulated.

Yes...sort of. Being online means we are offering our data to an industry that uses it for the purpose of manipulating us. We don't have to be here, but if we are, we give our consent to use our data.

Do we have to be victims of that manipulation? No. But it takes work to realistically protect ourselves from all that. We all know what critical thinking is, and most are convinced we're good at it. But we really aren't.

We got a VPN. It's not perfect, but it does help. The internet provider can't see anything.

There's also a lot less ads that pop up when I'm logged into other countries.

FYI, the web sites you visit is enough to create a profile on someone. I know Chrome logs the visits and that data doesn't have to go through the VPN.

The critical thinking can be subjective, one could test themselves, I know Perdue and San Jose State have pages/sites that one can use to help themselves to the practice of critical thinking. In addition, the subject matter can also play a role in the critical thinking. To say one isn't on all subjects would be conjecture, even on this forum, everyone has their little niche of expertise and hence can provide critical thinking.

He caught the coronavirus in the process. I hope Wallace and Biden don't get it.

If Trump can't be running the country and if Pence gets infected, who runs the country? Pelosi?

If Trump gets his way. That's just not going to happen.
The Republicans won't want Pelosi in charge

I don't know how many people outside the Bay Area want Pelosi in charge, but she does have more balls than Trump and Pence combined. I'd love to see what she has to say to Putin.

    Absolutely.

I was referring to critical thinking as opposed to reactionary thinking. One of the most important and overlooked things is that we all have biases, and those biases play a significant role in how we interpret information. If we don't start with acknowledging we have biases we're not really thinking critically.

I think spending the past 6 months in his basement has paid off. Covid would kill Joe in a week. Watch the debate again and pay very close attention to Joe's blink rate and eye dilation. I can only imagine the amount of drugs it would take to do that to a person's eyes. I believe he has deteriorated to the point he cannot function without the assistance of hard core drugs. It is an obscenity to hide this from the American people.

I had to do a drug test to be an engineer. Surely a drug test should require to be the President of the United States. Joe should disclose his true medical condition including the drugs he is on OR allow Kamala Harris head the ticket. It is an unethical act to do otherwise.

The sickness would accomplish what the impeachment gambit couldn't.
