if Republicans are color blind, why did Dump say that a Mexican or Muslim judge wouldn't be qualified to handle his fraud case?

why did he call out a black supporter at one of his rallies?

You know, when press secretaries in the past held their first press conference, it was usually to outline what the president was going to try to get done over the next 100 days. All I heard from Spicer was a boorish diatribe about how the media is faking news and going against Trump. Now, as far as the MLK bust, dunno..........wasn't there, so I can't say one way or the other. However, the current reporting says that the bust is still there, so I guess the guy that tweeted it was mistaken. Oh yeah, he also apologized to Spicer, and said that he'd checked twice for it, but didn't see it, and that it must have been blocked from his view by a secret service agent. Spicer then accepted his apology.

However..................when it comes to the crowd size of the inauguration, I think he was paraphrasing Groucho Marx's old line of "who are you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?", when he said that Trump's crowds were bigger than Obama's, and the only reason that people noticed the blank areas was because of the white flooring that was laid down. Now, I've seen the pics of both Obama's crowd for his swearing in, as well as saw the pics of Trump's swearing in, and sorry, but the crowds for Trump were significantly smaller than they were for Obama. Not only that, but he was boycotted by over 90 congress critters. Now THAT is one of the largest numbers in the history of inaugurations.


Would have rather heard about what the future policy is gonna be rather than hearing about how butt hurt Trump is that he didn't get the crowds he thought he would.

Oh yeah...............Obama went to 10 different balls when he was inaugurated. People not only wanted to see him, but they also wanted to throw a party for him. And, he made it to all of them. Trump only had 3, because people really aren't interested in throwing him a party.

Guess Trump is gonna have to get used to the fact that his ceremonies were less than Obama's, and he isn't as well liked.

 

I watched it. Spicer's not the guy. Trump needs a new Press Secretary...SOON. 1) his suite didn't even fit. 2) he came across as very angry. 3) He seemed disoriented reading his script.

Yea, the message he conveyed (poorly) was fine, no problem. But he's clearly not the guy Trump wants as Press Secretary....IMO.

Kelly attacked Trump at the first debate, Hillary constantly attacked Trump. Trump's comments did not come close to Billie-boy's rape allegations and his actions in the Oval Office and subsequently his lying to We The People on national TV while he shook his arthritic finger at US. But then, you lefties conveniently forget the inconvenient truths about your nasty little boy and his enabling wife.

 

That's why Hillary was inaugurated yesterday!!!

You know who would make a superior press secretary? Kelly Anne Conway. That woman can take the stupidest thing Trump said, pivot, and make the question about something else entirely. If you want someone who knows how to cloud an obfuscate the truth, she's your gal.

 

This the press has the Duty then to make the presidents life a living hell until the stress gives him a heart attack and he dies.

 

the problem is not the media, it is the ideology that the media promotes, with their megaphones. They are not a balance to the American System, or a watchdog over the checks & balances. They have become a propaganda arm for progressive/marxist ideology, which is blatantly anti-American at its roots. There is no obligation for anyone to respect or honor the lying, deceiving media. If they do not present the facts, but spin them to promote a phony narrative, it is the prerogative of the elected representative to ignore them, or chastise & expose them for their dishonesty. The representatives are not required to like the media, but neither do they have to accept lies & false narratives promoted by corporate interests, who are devastated that their puppets were not elected, even with their full support & financial backing.

I would not fault Trump at all for calling them out, or exposing their lying, hypocritical tactics. They tossed softballs to obama for 8 yrs, & now they are going to pretend to be 'tough journalists'? They are merely liars & hypocrites, & deserve to be ignored & shunned. Perhaps their sponsors will stop funding these charlatans, & use their money for real journalism, instead of the agenda driven propaganda they have been dishing out for the last 8 yrs (or more).

I'm not sure what you're asking. From what I got from the video in the OP, Spicer wasn't happy that a picture was published. Do photos lie? Spicer talked about the grass protection and how new security devices made occupying the space take longer, so the crowd size looked smaller, but that doesn't mean the photo lied. It was a photograph. The conclusions drawn were by the beholder.

Besides that, it seems Spicer was complaining about Tweets. Live by the Tweet, Die by the Tweet. No one would be paying attention to Tweets at all and calling that "the media" if Trump wasn't trying to circumvent the media by Tweeting. Most people don't use Twitter.

Exposing them is much different than controlling them or controlling access. There is going to be pushback against Trump- through the media or through social media. To expect differently is to be disappointed.

 

Hmm, they did not matter during the campaign, together with celebrities and dignitaries, all acting as a giant vicious pro-Hillary PAC. And now that they are going to be exposed as frauds, liars and scum on a daily basis to the entire world, their ability to deceive the American people will become nil.

 

ESPECIALLY if it's not the truth!
