Going to be real hard to ignore such data going into 2020.

Dems have been discredited yet again.

breitbart is another name for propaganda incorporated.

It really is this simple. Somebody exports goods from a country and somebody imports the goods. The tariff tax is paid by the importer who eventually passes that extra cost along to the consumer to keep the same amount of goods sold within the country, while it's costing the importer more money to do so. It's just common sense if the people continue to buy a good imported into the country and the price of that imported good increases, they will eventually pay a higher price for that good.

People who know economics know economies have lag and they know tariffs cause inflation.

Numbers don't show that to be the case.

If you have data, now is the time.

That's one reason we use tariffs.

That's not the primary reason we put tariffs on China.

The numbers will show the case, tariffs obviously cause inflation and you can bank on that.

Yeah your problem is that your source isn't journalism. It's what's called circle-jerkism. See your doctor about it right way!

Proven wrong by the 2nd sentence...

President Trump has repeatedly proclaimed that when it comes to tariffs on Chinese goods, China pays the price.

But it’s U.S. consumers who actually pay, if export and import firms and manufacturers choose to pass along the cost.

The premise of this thread is that those firms and manufacturers did not choose to pass along the cost.

Which is why we aren't seeing rising costs. Your link only cites "trade groups".

    What makes you say speculation?
There must be something you don't understand. What is it?

But let me explain the chart for you.

The increased CPI are the goods with tariffs. Price up. With me so far?
The decreased CPI are goods without tariffs. Price down. Better?

For starters its less recent, and only compares certain goods unrelated to the OP.

Yeah, It's 2 months old. It's probably worse by now judging from the trend.
So do you think tariffs make the price go up even on items without tariffs?
I don't quite get your logic.

There isn't any evidence of prices increase at all as a result of the china tariffs.

    Of course there is.
The price of the group of goods with tariffs have increased about 4% as of May.
The price of goods not affected by tariffs has dropped about 0.4% in the same period.

The big hits have been in the housing markets. And lots of farmers aren’t to thrilled either. Cognitive dissonance on your part.

So dems should pick something to complain about.

Instead of just ignoring the facts in front of them.

    Very much so.

I think another narrative is about to fall-that tariffs are a disaster.

Yeah, it's all good unless you are caught up in it.
Chat with the farmers about pigs and soybeans or steel workers when Trump finished his flip flop.
Of course the flop part was to late for the auto manufactures like Lordstown.
