that's fine...you're not interested in facts...you're just rampant politics...it's simply too soon to know the impacts...

Oh yeah, Bretibart always has it correct, keep taking the bait :)

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/tariffs-against-china-bringing-factories-093001264.html
About 41% of American companies are considering moving factories from China because of the trade war, or have already done so, but fewer than 6% are heading to the U.S., the American Chamber of Commerce in China said in a recent survey.

Companies are largely eyeing Southeast Asia and Mexico.

There is no way I would know which corporations had the biggest tax cuts until their fiscal year is over. Corporate taxes affect their pre-tax income and their cost of capital, not their cost of goods sold.

It doesn't show who won, but it doesn't show any losers, either.

Correct. The purpose of fiscal stimulus is to increase deficits. Trump gave tax cuts to the rich, upper affluent, middle class and the poor.

    That’s right.

It is a sign of decline when a nation sets forth to cower in fear behind walls, real and imaginary, from the world.

And that is one of the core values of Trumpism. Hide behind a “big, beautiful, wall”.

Actually, the commitment to buy soybeans went sideways, along with all the other trade negotiations with China.

The Chinese know that they are in the driver’s seat with Trump. He’s weak, and his chest beating bullying tactics haven’t worked.

And his is facing re election.

The Chinese have taken Trump’s measure and are waiting for his fecklessness and selfishness to get the better of him.

Rooting for China? That is not what I got out of it. It is an observation and nothing more, so don't misread the post. Trump's bullying tactics have caused the stalemate and you and I will be the losers as our cost of goods skyrockets no matter what the result, because
    Trump doesn't care.

Let me try to explain math.

Top 20% of Americans Will Pay 87% of Income Tax

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/top-20-of-americans-will-pay-87-of-income-tax-1523007001

    And sure.

    100% wrong, and untruthful.

Tariffs are a tax on the consumer. A business will always pass along the costs of this to the consumer,

So you agree that the benefits of the so called Middle Income Tax Cut went overwhelmingly to the rich at the expense of blowing uo the deficit. And the fact that the top 20% will pay a slightly higer share of the income tax is because of course the tax cut boosted their income. And I might add the total collected income tax is down so a higher share doesn't mean they pay more.

And by the way the top twenty percent owns 88.3% of all wealth in America and that figure is from before the Trump tax cuts.

Somehow I don't think the poor in America were paying income tax before the Trump tax cuts.

Corporations don't pass on tax increases to the consumer? That must be a reborn voodoo economics.

Yeah except government income was higher. Over half a trillion dollars came back into this country last year.

It stands to reason if you get free lunch and I pay for my lunch, and the price goes down 50 cents, you wouldn't be getting the 50 cents.

    That's kinda how math works.

Anyway, the benefit is the record low unemployment and the fastest wage gains we've seen for the bottom 50% of wage earners in decades.

You can get mad all you want, but the Trump economy is on fire.

I am sure I see what is there. No major gains for the US but that is Trump's modus operandi. Remember when North Korea was no longer a nuclear threat.

But if you can actually post real gains for America I will read them.
