Push to disarm police officers gains steam in New York

    If that is not the only force they have, then why rely solely on the force guns have?

    One doesn't have to dig very deep to discover nuts in either party or belief. Cops are like the rest of the public; 10% are exceptional, 80% are average to good, 10% never should have been issued a badge. Disarming cops in America isn't reality. Ours is a gun culture.

    More than 10% were not issued a badge. The failure rate of candidates in police academies is around 14% according to a department of justice study. Higher in some jurisdictions and lower in others. It i a tough profession and because of the general attitude towards law enforcement, a larger than normal number are giving it up as simply not being worth the risk of being killed or other disciplinary actions. Unfortunately, they tend to lose the best,rather than the worse.
