I do not know the exact detail but a near by race track, Mallory Park is under threat!
    http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/race/mallory-park-under-threat/

I have also heard the same for church bells etc...

This totally disgusts and concerns me.

This circuit has been open since the days of black and white photos, perhaps before that (it is pretty much a historic location)

How is it people moving the area have a right to complain?
(they should complain they were not warned if that is the case or face facts they did not do their home work)
It's well sign posted and common knowledge.

This is not the only place this has happened in the UK!.
I would like the train track shut down and the near by road - whats the chances?

I fear this country is going mad - are we all to be robots - work/eat/sleep?
What about the idea of keeping the danger off the road? I fear the people making these discussions have no common sense. The business that it will effect. I just can not get my head round it.

However, I totally agree (with the residents) if it were a new circuit being built, just not the other way round.
Seems very odd! I was alive before Rockingham Speedway was built and I do not blame the Locals for making a fuss then.
Mallory Park has been there so long there can not be any residents that lived there before it was built!

I prefer to have tried and failed than not tried at all, you never know it might make a difference.

I will help others or do what I can... at least I tried!
I think things like this are just the tip of Ice burg in modern times, the people making the decisions need a reality check. Bit off topic, but kind of not....

I believe we need more community - my neighbors are older than us but they are great!... we all help each other out. I fear (community) this is not generally the way today. People are so selfish/ competitive life is so fast. The government in this country are full of hollow words, education and business and in a way via advertising these ideals are promoted. They do not genuinely have best interests at heart...

The problems are much more complex than surveys conducted by people not involved with the subjects they are researching or bias views.

We need some reality restoring. I asked several young people what are they interested in - they replied errr.... I don't know! I am not stereo typing but it all concerns me for several reasons - kids spending too much time on computers, not enough real interaction, people not learning skills that promote common sense..

The only moment I felt reassured is when we had the Olympics, lots of people felt closer. We are killing humanity and replacing it with control and red tape...

    Sorry off topic.
