I, of course was referring to -
"Other medical conditions or factors (for example, race or ethnicity) may also place individual patients at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, and authorization of sotrovimab under the EUA is not limited to the medical conditions or factors listed above."

You are concerned that the government might not have created an explicit list of all the conditions that could possibly exist?

Do you object to sickle cell disease being listed explicitly?

No, I object to just the one condition of being non white being included.

That quote only suggested areas where they may not have been exhaustive in their enumeration.

    You can't complain about that!

In fact, as a bigot why are you not happy that they DIDN'T look at such special conditions???

After all, they could have given more attention to the health concerns of minority races. And, they state that they DIDN'T!!

You are the one with a racist approach. I want health care to be doled out by need, not by race. If blacks have the need, they should get the vaccine, not because they are black but because they have the need. Nothing ignorant about anything I said.

I didn't cry racism. I said it has no place in medical triage.

No there you go again criticizing what I didn't say. When you want to make a partisan remark use a post that relates to what you want to say. I hate recism. I hope you can recover from yours.

I don't have an approach. I am an observer. You are the tribalist here, not me.

My comment didn't have anything to do with any party, but if the shoe fits......

Please cite the policy that upsets you.

Not some commentary - the policy.

So far, I don't see a legitimate basis for your argument here.

As of July 1, 2022, United States Census Bureau estimates that 75.8% of the US population were white alone

I never do. I don't respond to requests for internet links. I view them as silly, partisan and useless.

OK, so what you post is pure personal opinion.

I was hoping you would have more.

I have plenty more but I don't do requests. Use your browser. That is where all the links point. What you view as answers will be there.

Report them to the authorities, this violates the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act. Letting racists get away with racism helps no one. Report them.

Yes. They're just whinings from those who aren't really interested in the issues themselves but want to snivel about something that doesn't sound PC enough to hem.

Us whites are by far the most oppressed and mistreated race in human history. The other day I kindly asked a negro at a bar to make me a mint julep. He ignored me.

Are you saying you want a link with the policy that suggested whites should lose points just for their race?

The reason you refuse to use the word racism is because of the emotional impact, to the point that you are wilfully blind to the rest of your own posted to definition. This is truly pathetic or trolling. Hard to tell which.

This would be sound IF there is evidence that makes some more susceptible to it than others, rather than race being used as proxy for something we can address directly like wealth or place of residence (if there is a massive outbreak in a location) etc.

That's why it makes sense for sickle cell anemia. Doing it by race is otherwise patently racist.

This obviously can't be true. Everybody knows that progressive whites never live within a country mile of black people.
    upload_2023-8-27_9-5-52.png

Progressives' black power rhetoric is a luxury belief. It is proclaiming their status as one of the elite. They are signaling that they have enough financial wealth that they can signal their hatred for white people and love of black people because it cannot affect them. Their money ensures that they can always afford to move away from diversity in the real world. This is why they are better than us.

If there are two people waiting for the last shot of a vaccine and one was black, age 80, is obese, and has diabetes and the other is white, age 40, normal weight, with no underlying health issues. Who would you give that last vaccine to and why? In this case colour does not matter. It’s called triage as somebody already mentioned.

Using a bit of critical thinking, let’s work out that the decisions being made is not even close to racism directed at white people.

The fact is — racial and ethnic minorities in the US have had higher rates of infection, longer hospital stays, and death caused by the Covid virus than white people. Possible reasons include racism, other medical conditions, type of work, location, and access to health care.

All in all, the pandemic has demonstrated the need to promote well-being and health of members of racial and ethnic minority groups.

Stop whining about racism. Promoting the well-being and health of members of minorities is not racism.

Blacks as a group are more susceptible to Sickle Cell Disease than other groups in general. Statistics are good in th U.S. and Europe, but not so good in other areas

Why is sickle cell anemia so much more common among Black people?
    https://www.healthline.com/health/sickle-cell-anemia-black-people#why-more-common-in-black-people

"Sickle cell anemia is a genetic condition much more common among Black people in the United States. Although it affects all races the same, Black people may face unique challenges due to disparities in the healthcare system."

"Black people are at a much higher risk for mutations in the hemoglobin gene responsible for SCA. Researchers believe the reason lies in how this condition has evolved.

Over time, sickle cell conditions have evolved to protect against malaria, a parasitic infection spread by mosquito bites. Malaria is common in sub-Saharan Africa and other parts of the world that also have a high prevalence of sickle cell. Having SCT — but not SCA — helps reduce the severity of malaria."

For sickle cell, yes. There is genetic basis. That makes it a good contrast to the thread topic, for which I am aware of no genetic susceptibility difference.
