Racism - Why Do So Many People Hate Black People?

Most right wingers are...that was the point of the thread I think..to narrow it down more specifically. It landed where it needed to in defining the right wing as the group most regularly engaged in this kind of stuff.

My wife and sons aren't White. They don't like leftists either. That makes them racists too. We're all proud to be racists. Being a racist means opposing the leftist agenda. The meaning of words changes over time. The African American community is going to regret allowing the word racist to be watered down and conceptually altered. Loud and proud pal.

It's so sad, when we were young words meant something, now they are just words, and depending on the source [More times than not] have the opposite effect....This phenomena seems to have come about with many people taking a new interest in politics solely due to the President elect. With no true understanding of politics people were quick to assume the discourse over Obama was due to his color. How could anybody disagree with this great Nobel prize winner.

Instead of the left explaining to these new people that this is politics as usual they immediately saw an opportunity to exploit the race game and secure their base,,,horrible, but sadly expected.

 

You're wrong about that. What's happening is that more and more people are seeing the effects of the racism (from the sources) in virtually real time (internet/cable).

Ultimately, that will inform many more (younger and older) and perspectives on racism WILL be altered (in the right amount of time). Talking about racism and showing what it is (putting LIGHT on it)... gradually removes it as an advantage for those who would employ it as a weapon of propaganda.

Black people are tired of it in America, and they will put LIGHT on it when they see/sense it. Actually, considering this nation's HISTORY... that is EXACTLY what they need to do (along with the millions of White Americans who can/do relate to them).

 

Identifying the most racist groups helps too, and Republicans fit the bill more often than not.

If you white folks think that simply because you're white, that it somehow doesn't qualify you to be treated as the blacks have been/are treated by racism, you're in for a rude awakening. The corporate rich are after you too folks, and to them, you're no better than blacks when you're poor.

 

How's the public school system working out for African American children? Good?

 

Is the denial of an education a form of racism? Who is denying Black children an education? Who controls the public school system?

 

Well if their parents could gain employment somewhere other than Walmart, and get out of the crime ridden cities white people abandoned, perhaps education would be more "in focus". Staying alive though, kinda takes precedent.

Poor Vietnamese-American kids whose parents live in bad neighborhoods do well in school. They aren't held back by poverty. Same thing with the children of Chinese immigrants. They succeed. Why?

 

No it isn't. Poor East Asian and South Asian kids do well in inner city public schools.

Talk about "shining a light" on things...

If anything, New Media will expose what the politically correct "mainstream" media routinely censors - namely, black and brown behavior. The reason many whites live in La-La Land when it comes to race is because the media (TV, movies, newspapers, magazines) have created a faux image surrounding race.

We are constantly bombarded with images of well behaved black professionals dressed in suits and ties, while ADT commercials routinely depict white men - and ONLY white men - breaking into houses when mommy is home with the kids.

Back on the subject at hand. New Media is going to accomplish the opposite of what you predict. Last summer's "youth" and "teen" (media code for "blacks" ) rampages across the country were proof of this. Just look at any comments section of a youtube video involving racial tensions and you will see it is stacked with race comments, ones you would disagree with and I would agree with. "Likes" are very telling indeed.

I'm not rich and my family isn't white. I do know that all individuals are equal, but that not all cultures are equal. Both white and black culture in this country have become degraded, debased and crass. East and South Asian cultures are superior to both white and black culture. Look at how the kids turn out.

They turn out like my kids. Mechanical engineer married to a Viet/Am dentist who grew up dirt poor in San Jose. The other is a CPA, not married. Pal, I know rich...I'm not rich.

This question has been bandied around my work colleagues and friends. Why do Asians value education so much?

With the lower socioeconomic groups it's the road out of poverty. With the richer kids it's just expected they do well in education.

One of the most valuable things an Asian kid can attain is a scholarship to an American, European, Australian etc university.
