This is only partly true. What you are referring to is income tax that is withheld and can be changed based on how many dependents you claim.

However., every worker as long as they are not being nefariously paid under the table, pays the same flat rate for payroll taxes (Medicare and social security) regardless of their income amount, legal status or dependents claimed. So illegals do pay taxes other than sales tax.

If an illegal immigrant if filing a w4 to make changes to the amount withheld for income taxes, that company is also filing a w2. Employees and the IRS get that form, so no, illegals can't just claim 8 people and then not file taxes.

I apologize and am sorry for being dismissive and snarky, but I don't see how I have any other choice. The problem I'm having is that those are Republican Talking Points, not actual facts. Most Republicans are against illegal immigrants but will still hire them if they need cheap labor and the accusation that illegals vote for Democrats is utterly absurd as it is practically impossible that they can vote at all. Again, if you believe either one of those things you are believing pure propaganda with no basis in fact whatsoever, and I find entertaining such arguments to be tedious at best.

If you're scared to even report when you're being physically robbed or your employer isn't paying you, like most illegals, then the idea that illegals are going down to a Federal Office Building to apply for all kinds of Federal Aid is absurd beyond description; but it is an article of faith among many conservatives and one no amount of rational argumentation can dislodge. Belief means a person has already decided what they think is true (or not true). I have no beliefs regarding illegal immigration or the roles that Republicans and Democrats play on that subject. Hence, the question.
