    I forgot to add guppies to my list as we also have hundreds, if not thousands of guppies in trenches around the house and property to control mosquitoes as we don't like to use pesticides or harmful chemicals. I might add that soapy water is quite effective in controlling ants.

    Ants don't like oil or grease. I sprayed a little penetrating oil on the wood at the base of the kitchen cabinets and the ants have gone elsewhere.
