Nice attempt at dismissal. He, like most rappers, have racist lyrics, and progressives like you who claim to hate racism won't call them out on it. I wonder why?

Really? You think this music makes black people look bad? That assertion may be one of the dumbest things I've read on this board. I disregard the opinions of entertainers on everything except the entertainment medium that has given them their success.

    A couple of things.

#1 Thanks for joining my fanclub. There are drink coozies and tshirts in the gift shop. Clearly your jimmies were rustled enough to go digging through my post history.
#2 If I had the misfortune to listen to some inbred yokel singing country music, their opinions on politics and/or race would not interest me in the slightest.

I don't really care about the lyrics, and neither should you. This particular "rapper" opinion is not relevant to anything.

No. I'm asking you if you think it does.
Your reading comprehension is dismal at best. Are you not sharp enough to separate a question for you from an opinion by me?

Add to that the fact that I asked if you thought it made some blacks look bad (not all....some) you have the makings of a real
idiotic reply that not only confuses me from you but some black folks from all black folks. Nice job! Been reading long?

Aside from this post of yours?

I suppose it must be great, if you like violent racist and misogynist content.

I don't care about song lyrics as it relates to anything other than the song. It's simple minded nonsense to equate song lyrics with behavior.

No, I don't think the song lyrics reflect on anyone outside of the person who produced the lyrics. Why would anyone think otherwise? You have to see how ridiculous that sounds.

I see your jimmies have been rustled. Did me pointing out the ridiculous nature of your assertion have something to do with it? Get a tissue, sweetheart.

How you can make opinions about any black person (never mind some or all) based on the lyrics of a song is beyond me. Are you suggesting that the content of one's character is a direct reflection of the music they listen to? Seriously? This entire thread is pointless and without merit.

You don't think the audience the music was intended for makes any difference at all?
That this music was conceived, produced and marketed in a vacuum? Well...that's a, umm, "unique" notion.

I see....you're dim misreading of my post is somehow my fault? You didn't point out the ridiculous nature of my assertion at all.
You didn't even correctly figure out the nature of my assertion. I am not responsible for your ignorance.

So you think the fact that he's black makes him immune from any and all criticism for racist and misogynist songs? That, in and of itself, is about as racist as it gets. And if you don't think that someone can be critiqued based on the lyrics of their songs then you must find Nazi-punk music and their violently anti-black and jew lyrics to be completely above reproach and totally unoffensive also.
Not the most honest or rational position I've ever heard.

I'm saying one's character cannot totally be discounted if he's a listener of music that's racist and misogynistic. If one is a producer of such music...then of course it's so much the worse.

No, I don't. He deserves all the criticism in the world for the garbage he is pushing. Where we differ is you are comfortable applying the same criticism to people who listen to his songs arbitrarily.
Fair enough. However, I'm weary of applying such blanket judgement over people based on their choice of music.

Not at all, I enjoy pointing out hypocrisy and double standards.

Doesn't have to be country music. Any white artist who expressed bigotry in their lyrics can count on one thing - liberals not excusing their racism, like you did with this black racist.

Wouldn't it be easier to just own up to the double standard?

right, so then you agree that free speech is important. that there is no such thing as 'hate speech'?

you're perfectly fine with anyone saying anything they like, so long as it's just words?

There is no double standard. Any musician, of any race, of any genre's opinion on politics isn't of any interest to me. Further, drawing conclusions about people based on the music they listen to is plain ignorance. You keep trying to move the goalposts here by saying my opinion would be different if it was this race or this type of music.

    No.

My opinion would stay the same. I couldn't possibly care less about the political opinions of any musician. I care as much about what a musician has to say about politics as I care about a janitor's opinion on astrophysics.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes, it would be a non story and I wouldn't really care.

    - - - Updated - - -

If you insist on being disingenuous, I'll leave you to that.

With your post history on white racism, I find it HIGHLY suspect that you would be as willing to give a white racist musician a pass, like you have for this black racist musician.

Let me spell it out in plain English for you. I don't give a crap what any musician, of any race, of any music genre has to say about politics. There are a multitude of white musicians who use racist and idiotic lyrics. I simply ignore them, just like you should ignore some obscure rapper.

I get that you were attempting to cry about black people in this thread, but you failed as usual.

    Brewskier,

Did you read the lyrics? The song is not even about white people. The lyrics are all about Black people that the rapper hates.

What exactly do you take umbrage with?

Willie D is awesome. He knocked out melle mel (body builder from Furious Five) in a boxing match.
