While I doubt that Sharia is going to get a foothold anytime soon ... this is not the point. Belief in Sharia is belief in forcing religious beliefs on another human through physical violence. Our nation was founded on the principle that essential liberty is above the legitimate authority of Gov't and that authority of Govt comes from the people "consent of the Governed" as opposed to God/ Divine Right.

People that hats the founding principle - as her parents obviously did - should never have been allowed into this nation. That we have elected this kind of scum into public office is a horrible condemnation on the electorate.

Condemning FGM (for example, a part of Sharia Law often - because Mohammad approved of FGM) is just common sense - trying to help innocent girls get butchered simply because Mohammad so desperately wanted women's sexuality to be curtailed.

Not sure which historians you are referring to but, if they stated the US was founded on Judeo Christian principles they have little clue what they are talking about.

The principles on which this nation was founded were in direct confrontation to the Christian political systems of the day - in particular the idea that authority of leaders came from God / Divine right.

There are 2 principles in the declaration of independence.

1) That the essential liberty is above the legitimate authority of Gov't
2) That the authority of Gov't comes from "consent of the Governed" ... as opposed to Divine Right/ God as was the case in the past.

Sure we can call things like "thou shalt not kill" a Judeo Christian principles but, every society has this - there is nothing unique to Christianity about this principle.

 

Would a "piece of human garbage" be, for example, someone who ACCEPTS God/Jesus or Allah sending all ethical Jews to sadistic torture in a "lake of fire" forever (i.e. treating Jews even worse than Hitler did)? Surely someone who approves of treating Jews even worse than even Hitler did would be a "piece of human garbage", no?
