The 30% who wanna leave are stuffy SJWs. Im sure America will manage somehow without their nagging, hen-pecking, finger- pointing and meltdowns.

If you're suggesting we'll have problems with population growth... its not like they were ever gonna have kids anyway. Sex is rape, men are bad, kids are bad for the planet, etc.

The better question is- how can they possibly make america great by staying? They just wanna Make America Like Europe...

Considering our country doesn’t prevent you from leaving, these people can go live ANYWHERE they wish. Go move to Mexico. They’re be happy to accept you. Or go to Denmark. Whoops. If you can’t afford to fly yourself over there they actually don’t want you. Makes you appreciate our immigration laws a lot more. Many of those wonderful countries people want us to be more like are quite picky with who they let in.

 

We should oblige them.

It would probably be better long term.

Even the wealthy celebrities don't seem to ever leave.

 

Not surprising most want to move to a predominantly white country especially liberals.

 

do they realize that denouncing citizenship takes a tremendous amount of time and money... until then, even if they live abroad all their earnings are subject to us taxes, including any net worth acquired abroad, including but not limited to real property, and they must file every year, just as though they live here...

As much as Gallup's polling methodology is often statistically flawed, these percentages and implied sentiment makes some sense. There is now less free stuff and entitlements due to the repeal of many stupid Obama era Federal regulations. More may be on the way. Times are not great for slackers.

If any of these unhappy people did permanently take a hike, there would probably be more green cards granted for educated people who want to contribute to the US instead of tearing it down.

Idaho might be a great place to live -- especially up north, around Sandpoint. But beware portions where the Kalifornians have already moved in and taken over. That is especially true, from what I've heard for years, in the area around Kalispell, Montana.

You might check out Couer d'Alene, Idaho, but I'm afraid migrant Kalifornians have infested it, too, by now.... Truly, they screw everything up everywhere they go.

If you're serious, I'd suggest you make a move before there's another sizable earthquake in California -- and they haven't had one of any real size since the Loma Prieta quake in 1989. But every time there is a 'largish' earthquake there, Californians come streaming out by the thousands with big insurance-settlement checks, contaminating all the other states in the American West, including Colorado, Montana, and Idaho.

This has been especially true in coastal Oregon and Washington... look at how totally f*cked-up with hyperliberals those areas are now... (Seattle, Portland). Ironically, both of those cities are predicted to suffer earthquakes eventually that will be far more powerful than anything that can occur in California!

The problem is that what you call improvements may cause more harm than good. People cheer for government overreach when they are doing what we agree with, but call it tyranny when they use their power to do what we oppose. The trick is to oppose government overreach EVEN WHEN WE AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

The goalpost is outside the US. None of these people are trying to score. Simple. These polls need people to blindly accept results without question.

For those of us who prefer to do our own thinking, things like methodology and facts make a difference.

1000 people who have nothing better to do than answer unknown callers and take phone surveys are represented. Those who have successful careers and relationships are not represented in these results. Would you take time away from work or quality time with family to take phone surveys?

Before the survey, we already knew that people are quick to whine, but seldom, if ever, follow through on leaving the US.

 

And some think this would be a bad thing?




Most in that demographic are not the sharpest tool in the box.

 

Most countries would not take them, they have Merit based systems and rules like having to speak the local languages and having financial reserves so that they would not be a burden. It is far harder to emigrate to most countries then to ours.

 

These silly folks need to leave the US. And don't let the door hit you on the way out.

 

They cant most countries do not want them. For instance if you cannot speak Norwegian then you cannot become a citizen. If you do not make a certain amount of money every year you cannot be a citizen in Sweden. There are all sorts of rules and requirements that the normal American cannot get past.

 

Not only are they the dumbest group in comparison to similarly educated people the same age, but they're also 'religious' in that special way which adds another layer of resistance to external information and reality.

As we kick off into another year with no sign of any reduction in the mania .... I'm beginning to feel really bad for these kids. They're very ill-prepared for life in the real world. They aren't even ready for our stable and reasonable western democracies - given democracies necessarily swing back and forth between liberal and conservative. Somehow they have reached 'adulthood' believing that if things aren't going their way at all times, the sky will fall. Which is of course, the response of the toddler.

 

Sooo ... these diversity and multiculture loving kids can only consider the uber-western white nations of Norway and Sweden? Well isn't that a shocker
