My guess is the accuser is just being paranoid. It is the same mentality that if you see a black person you don't recognize in your neighborhood and then hear about a crime, the black person clearly did it phenomenon.

Worth investigating...as I'm sure it will be. Remember...she was in military intelligence and served as a U.S. attorney and prosecutor...two professions wherein they're trained, more than the average person, to guard against their own bias.

You mean she held two jobs in which paranoia is a marketable skillset. Sure investigate away nonetheless.

Eliminating personal bias is a more marketable skill set, which is why most investigative skills are based on science.

We shall see. I absolutely hope you are right, but the actions of some of these congress critters suggests, to me, that shenanigans are a possibility.

What should be the punishment for making baseless insupportable accusations against fellow members of Congress? And shebis now trying to back down.
Her entire claim is based on there were some people in the Capital wearing MAGA hats a few days ago. She now say there should be an investigation, a witchhunt, to find out IF any Republican members were doing recon with insurrectionists. She offers no proof and when asked to name those she is accusing she hides behind "I can't because it is an ongoing investigation". What investigation she previously said we need one since on doesn't exist.

Democrat Who Accused GOP Members Of Giving “Recon” Tours Of Capitol To Rioters Backs Down… A Little

"Naturally, at the time Sherrill made these claims she did not give any indication as to why she felt GOP members were engaging in “reconnaissance” in an effort to aid in a violent insurrection to come the following day.

She offered no proof at all and Republican Rep. Pat Fallon calls the accusations “baseless” and claims that there is no evidence to support them whatsoever.

Now, Sherrill’s backing down only a little and calling for an investigation into these allegations rather than just moving on to the conviction phase. How considerate.

She has changed her tune and told CBS that “There is a possibility that they did not realize what some of these groups were doing, that they were groups of constituents” she further asserted that they “should not have brought them into the Capitol complex.”

She claimed that she thought there was a “suspicious group” and cited the group wearing “MAGA hats and Trump things,” as her reasoning for saying the group was “suspicious.”

Now all you have to do is openly support the President to be considered “suspicious” by Democrat lawmakers."

She should at the least face censure on the floor of the House.

She says she saw some people in the Capital wearing MAGA hats. That's it. She refuses to name the members of Congress she is accusing. She should be censured on the floor of the House.

Yes she is already backing down and dodging and weaving and the Speaker of the House should condemn the letter and those who signed it and do like she did a the SOTU address. They should all be censured on the floor of the House.

Well, by all accounts, the crap that Nancy tore up was ....... well....... crap.

Do you REALLY think 30+ Congresspeople would sign their name to this request for an investigation without some predicate??

    I don't...

The only potential censures upcoming in Congress might be for Seditionist Hawley or Seditionist Cruz...

Capitol tours were supposedly shut down because of Covid. No one was supposed to be getting them.

This is the first I've heard a specific Congressperson named in Tourgate..

No surprise who is one of the perpetrators, if true... Steve Cohen is a little out there, but he's a veteran in the halls of Congress...

    SNIP
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) revealed he witnessed Congresswoman Lauren Boebert leading a group through the Capitol building in the days before the riot.

Even if a veteran Congressperson knew how to sneak a few people in the Capitol for a personal tour, it's very doubtful somebody sworn in 3 days prior would know how to... There have to be records of this activity, if it happened...
