That's really at the issue as to why there will never be slavery reparations but it will be a political issue that will haunt the US body politic every 4 years from now on; because it is a thousand times more useful as a political issue than it would be as a real program. As you can see, Moriah is just eating this up, she thinks it's really going to happen one day. Instead, it will be promised every 4 years. It's really the perfect political issue!

Or to clarify, US citizens of Japanese ancestry did deserve reparations, because their rights as US citizens were violated, but US residents of Japanese ancestry who were not citizens didn't deserve reparations because it's common practice to intern citizens of enemy foreign powers during wartime.

American Indians do not deserve reparations the US government has already settled with every single existing tribe.

Senator Warren has suggested gay reparations for the period of time before gay marriage was legalized. How much should gays get paid? This is important because it's likely the gays will get reparations before there are slavery reparations.

 

I've already explained why. I'm not ridiculing the idea or concept of reparations, merely that there is no practical way to carry it out at this point in history. It's simply a political trick that you are falling for, which I find amusing, but fear it is only going to leave you sad and bitter when, at some point down the road, you realize that the political angle was never about reparations, and only about an issue that's important only as long as it's never fulfilled.

In other words, I'm telling you that neither you, your children, or their children are going to get reparations, even though generations will vote for that promise.

 

Imagine the joy of being 1/4 Native-1/4 Black, 1/2 Japanese and also gay.

I have nothing to try, only I'm glad that your memory is refreshed after forgetting that you wrote some fairly pro-genocidal comments. My position is that you are not going to get reparations...ever. But you will hear about them during presidential election years. If I'm wrong and you actually get reparations, then you can pull up this thread and mock me. I will be good humored and take my lumps. Maybe you'll have better luck with the genocide though, although just being honest if I survive I doubt I'll be good humored about it. I would rather you get reparations.

 

Regardless of the what the naysayers here keep posting, I do believe the American Decendants of Slavery are going to receive reparations.
