Reparations for Slavery.

No the Holocaust was bad! Slavery is a part of history it was a part of every culture. Perhaps it was a necessity. Why would you give reperations to ancestors of slaves. They certainly don't deserve it.

Almost all the world have had ancestors that were slaves at one point? Why are African American slaves so special?

Blacks have all the chances in the world. It's insulting you think they need handouts because you believe they can't be successful on their own accord.

If blacks are failing like you say they are it's a cultural change they need and not handouts. Blaming slavery is a copout

Give a man a fish or teach him to fish and all that.

I am for helping struggling communities by providing the tools to succeed but paying off people and sweeping the problem under the carpet i'm not cool with.

Don't fight for a big pay check that people will squander, it's not the solution. Neither is blaming Slavery, with this attitude you are setting blacks up for failure.

Stop putting blacks back into the shackles of the past.

There is no legacy but that which you impose upon yourself, in the 21stC.

 

Not one person has yet declared the criteria for determining eligibility for reparations. IE, criteria for blackness.

 

They will never confront the brutal reality that 200 years on, there is no longer any way you can declare someone black without become Hitler.

 

Seems pretty obvious: 'they' refers to the leeches with their hands out, claiming an entitlement for reparations. And they have not given any thought to who qualifies. It does not matter to them, as long as they, personally, get that check.

Ridiculousness is not an explanation. Please explain the mechanics of how identifying the ancestors of slaves would work. Be specific.
