Any Republicans have opinions about Trump/CPAC? I knew the lefties (that can't stop thinking about Trump) were gonna jump at this low hanging fruit, and I'm cool with it, but I'd really love to hear some of your opinions on THIS topic. Please , come in and share your thoughts.

Lol...well, they thought of going to Texas, but after seeing how corrupt and incompetent they were about their electricity grid, they now understand they’d be doubly screwed if they went there.

Real republicans are too ashamed to talk about trump, and his cult will throw you under the bus for failing to worship the orange dotard.

No. I'm pointing out a false equivalence. I'm seeing articles on both Cuomo story lines on my media sources. It's certainly not being ignored. Are some Dems corrupt? Sure. Does the majority of the party support a disgraced former prez who is responsible for epic, once in a generation level corruption? No. Consequently, it's a false equivalence to put Dems and Repubs in the same boat on this particular matter. Follow?

I appreciate your willingness to expose your sexism. My mother, wife, and 2 daughters are successful and do not need the government to interfere in their marriage or their finances.

If you want to hand your marriage and finances over to the government, it will be the the politicians that get to send their kids to college.

This was by far the weakest argument I have seen on this forum.

well it looks to me like all he was trying to say was that each side likes to sometimes ignore negative things that occurred regarding people in the party they support, but you tried to spin it as false equivalence. it is NOT a false equivalence . I don't think you can get out of this one, just best not to comment any further IMO
I mean you basically admitted on the internet, RULES FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR ME

If that was what he said I wouldn't have taken issue with it.

That he's going there to have his ego stroked and will majorly screw up the GOP if he runs.

Let me ask it this way. What's your opinion of the majority of a party who still supports someone who arguably is among the worst prez's in our history?

Because they like America First policies and like more money in their paycheck. You guys are obsessed with BLACK and WHITE but most of those people are about GREEN.
You seem to enjoy lumping support of policies with support of a person's personality like they are the same things. They aren't.

I suggest the opposite is true given that while RWM created an illusion of success his policies failed.

"Republicans" may well have already lost 2024 but that doesn't mean Trump has. I don't plan to continue trying to point to the blindness of the Left where Trump is concerned, mostly because he doesn't need to be defended. Those who are up to their ears in blind Trump hatred just aren't worth listening to any longer. As for Republicans "losing", if they run a candidate like Sasse or Haley or Cotton, they'll lose anyway. Trying to appeal as Democrat "lite", won't draw the required votes.
I just hope that if the Left attempts another steal because they know they CANNOT beat Trump, they meet with appropriate legal resistance to their criminal fraud.

well if you want to point out all his executive orders and policies and point out exactly what failed and exactly why Biden's version is better, i'm all ears. Also, why do you persist on arguing with me about Trump in the same very thread I said I DON'T want him to run?

Not trying to put words in your mouth (please correct me if I'm assuming incorrectly) but are you saying you think Trump is the ONLY one that can win on the right? maybe that's true (I can neither prove nor disprove this) but he was a one term president.

You don't want him to run because you see him as a liability. The majority of the POT sees him as an asset. I'm asking why you think that is as to the latter?

    Thanks for clarifying.
    1) the left has successfully painted him as a racist, which kind of paints the GOP as racist in many people's eyes
    2) there are republicans that hate him more than they hate the policies of the left which means they most likely won't vote Trump
    3) in general, with points 1 and 2 not even being a factor, the Republicans seriously need more diversity in general

There is no way in hell Trump is going to run. Melania will divorce him. She's not going through that again.

She just might divorce him, anyway. She might only be hanging in their until Barron reaches 18 and is off to college.

He provided the paint and the brushes...........and it's not just the left who recognize a bigot when they see one.

I was asking you to answer the question about why he is still adored by the party?

Dems Painted? I suppose 'I'm calling for a total shutdown of all Muslims entering the United States' and 'They [Mexico] are bringing rapists, and some, I presume, are good people' and 'shiit-hole countries' and 'Black guys counting my money--I hate it' doesn't quite qualify, eh?

What people on the right need to admit is that whatever narrative and profile Trump is, it's because of Trump, and no one else.

What Republicans need to do is figure out who they are and what they stand for. I recommend that they evict Trump from the party, and return to who they were before Trump. I mean, white supremacy, nationalism, and antisemitism is not a winning strategy.

well lets just agree to disagree then. I am not one who can get suckered into this whole race baiting trend of the left, but hey, its a powerful weapon and they did a good job using it so PROPS on that

    Here we go again:

'I'm calling for a total shutdown of all Muslims entering the United States'
It was geography based, nice try with spin but seriously, you are better than this.

    'They [Mexico] are bringing rapists
are you saying an illegal never raped a citizen? (feel free to look up how many where were in the past few years)

    'shiit-hole countries'
A president should NEVER say that

See how easy that is? I even agreed with one of your points but stop with the race baiting crap already. Do I need to start with biden quotes on how "you ain't black if you don't vote for me", "you can't go into a 7-11 unless you have an indian accent", " don't want my kids going to school in a jungle"
I'm sorry sir but since you elected a racist it pretty much kills your ability to accuse other presidents of saying racist things, Biden's comments were WAY worse
