Not anymore... People tend to care just a little more when their rights are challenged by imbeciles....

And you still seem to think this is still solely about abortion... it's not

I assumed you knew. Are you actually admitting you don’t know what she’s calling for?

Your post proves the war on drugs has not only been a costly failure. But has prevented start ups from forming that could have helped them.

No, I don't think that. Alito's draft opinion explains it very well, it's about Constitutional limits to federal government power. Abortion is not a federal issue.

So the war on drugs did nothing to stop your aunt and uncle who were hooked on drugs.
But the war on drugs does make Drug Cartels very powerful and very rich and very dangerous.

Can't stop people using drugs and we make very bad people running those drugs very rich and powerful.
Sounds like a bad war to me.

It's impossible to make laws to stop people from hurting themselves.

So why are there so many R states ready to pass laws banning abortion after 6 weeks?
Most woman won't know they're pregnant yet, and about the earliest anyone might know they are pregnant is about 4 weeks, missed menstrual cycle.
So that leaves 2 weeks to make that major major life decision.
And the fetus does not yet have brainwave function at 6 weeks.

    Thank you for the clarification.

I'm not sure it's an entity. I contend it's a part of the mother and remains so until birth. The best comparison I can think is one most people find rather offensive but it's true, the fetus is pretty much a wart.

The human rights of the citizens of a country are ALWAYS under the purview of the government of that country....

Except for the folks who think the Ark Encounter is a worthwhile tourist visit...

So then you agree this will be an election issue, but you said it wouldn't.

There are more people for PRO Choice than against abortion.

What was the silly projection about what I support all about? That's ridiculous.

The earliest that this could happen is Jan. 2025, if the GOP had the Trifecta after the 2024 Election.
Republicans can "try" all they want, it won't matter as long as the Dems hold the Presidency...

    A quote from Warren

"The second part is we need rules of the road for Big Tech. But ultimately what all of this boils down to is power,Who’s going to have the power in our country? Are we going to make these decisions as a democracy, or is this going to be Elon Musk all by himself, off in a room, a bazillionaire, who just plays by his own set of rules?"

So she basically thinks they should have power over Twitter and not Elon musk. She’s also calling for “rules of the road” which sh associates with Elon and Twitter some how.

She also chimed in that the problem with Musk owning Twitter was "one of power" and about “one person” being able to make all of the decisions that affect millions of users. As if she doesn’t think his private ownership is acceptable. So she’s definitely attacking private ownership and ability to make their rules for their company.

What is the name of the bill, so I can read for myself as opposed to reading your take on it?

Could have helped them? Are you crazy? Have you ever been around an addict on hard drugs? You can’t help them, they’re literally fried. They can’t get jobs because they rely on drugs too much to actually function. That function is below the function to get a job. So they steal, murder, or do whatever they can to get drugs.

My grandma tried to “help” them by letting them live there till they either died or they had to move out when she could no longer take care of herself little lone drug addict pieces of trash like them. She was forced to move in with my parents who refused to take the drug addicts in as well. After that another died on the street and good riddance and the other remaining alive is living off the government.

If you think the war on drugs caused these fools to be stupid you’re not only wrong, you’re disgusting for making excuses for the way these people are and how they treat others. I’m glad the law is hard on them. People like you would rather let criminals in the street to continue to steal, murder, and rape.

It’s not a bill yet, I never said it was. She is advocating for this type of law. Read her quotes, they’re out there. Or you can make excuses for your bias.

Maybe they are out there, but I didn't see it. I know Warren and Musk have a past, and last year Musk even called her "Senator Karen". LOL. Is it possible she is just flapping her gums because she doesn't like the guy? I mean, if there is no bill, or no proposed bill, then why are you freaking out about it? I said it before and I say it again: Private companies can do whatever the heck they want. So far its been the GOP who try to get the government to control them.

Maybe. That doesn't mean we vote for them for that reason. Neither does "anti choice" cover all bases on the issue.

They clearly want to leave it to the states, have you really missed that or just being obtuse. YES if the Dems are going to try and shove something down our throats the Rep's will have a counter proposal in hand they would be stupid not to.

And when all else fails scream RAPE. Rape accounts for less than 1% of abortions, should all abortion law be based on just rape? And a pregnancy after a rape is entirely preventable. The rape victim can take readily available over the counter "morning after" medication.

    Clearly? It’s hardly clear
Cramer, Republican Senator from North Dakota.

“Just take my state of North Dakota. Having a North Dakota child killed in the womb in Fargo versus Moorhead, Minnesota, you know, on the other side of the Red River — I don’t find a lot of solace in that just because it didn’t happen in my state,” Cramer said. “I think you could expect that pro-life activists would push for federal protections. I mean, I wouldn’t take that off the table.”

There's a reason the GOP has been called "the stupid party." I thought they'd have a plan ready to go to replace Obamacare in 2016. After all they'd been campaigning on it for years. But, no, nada , zip, nothing. The morons had done nothing before hand and had to scurry around like cockroaches to cobble something together.

I don't know. But it is compromise. It's better than no abortion at all, right?

The war on drugs made the situation worse. Prohibition is a failure.
The only reason why it was stupid is because they would be arrested for turning a profit on their hobby.
