I doubt he ever had a tenth of the name recognition she has, or a hundredth of her egomania. I can't think of any fight I ever heard of where someone was so thoroughly outclassed in every sense, and where the loser looked more like a loser and a bully.
Both wars were won. Don't ever try to take that away from our men and women that sacrificed so much to win those wars, because you want to play political games with the truth. The peace was lost, because we played the PC games.
If you love Bush's two treasonous wars, go over to either or both countries and do your own fighting. After all, ISIS has challenged anyone who wants a war to fight them. They are calling you out - gonna respond? As for me, I want Peace. - - - Updated - - - Won? Where's your proof??
You should have watched Rousey's other fights to see others get outclassed. If the other gal can beat her again, then what you say has merit. If you think the other gal is so far above Rousey, you have not watched Rousey very much. You do not go 12-0 and not have what it takes, and class. This fight was one of the biggest one for MMA, and the rematch will be even bigger. Rousey has too much going on, movies, a book, the book tour, all of the appearances pushing her brand, and this loss is the best thing to happen to her. It brings her back down to earth, and she will work her ass off to get ready for the next fight, and will not fight it the same. She has not had, to this point, to utilize a learning curve. She will adjust to the strike and kick, and the next fight should be a great one. You do know that much of what Rousey does and says, is hype, right? Cassius Clay wrote the book on it, to bring in the dough. She knows how well professional fake wrestlers use their mouths and attitudes to bring in the crowds, and afterall, she is Hollywood now. And you know where "Rowdy" comes from....right? A wrestler who liked to talk crap too. She will come back, break Holm's arm, and then retire to just acting. And you can take that to the bank. A perfect story, with a great ending.
Cyborg isn't a tranny, there is one that did an exhibition match for (pride fighting? Maybe ufc? Can't remember)) and it wasn't even fair. You could tell it was a man vs woman even though he has been on hormone therapy for a few years.
I agree he does a good job, but he went overboard with Ronda. I remember Cerrone calling Rogan out on his podcast and Rogan got all defneisive and was like, "No, man, you don't understand how great Ronda is." To which Cerrone was like, Um....I'm an actual UFC fighter. I have more cred than you to feel this way.'
he may have bought into the hype himself... like announcers that swear the SEC is loaded from top team to bottom team I do not think, no had I ever thought, even when she was still undefeated, that she could beat any of the male 135's in UFC.
Cyborg doesn't count. When you take massive amounts of steroids and transform you body into a man, you no longer are relevant. Cyborg stole Carrano's career with ill gotten chemically induced muscle. What she did should be a crime. Watching that fight again, you will see Carrano actually got Cyborg in full mount, but the explosive steroid gained muscle got her out. I have watched Cyborg compete in BJJ, she's just alright. Her main strength is muscle had she has walked around at 192. She was given the opportunity to fight Rousey, but claimed it would kill her to make the 135 weight, then she said she could, but she never did it. Of course she can make the weight, she did it earlier in her career before the explosion of muscles. Lose the ill gotten muscles and she'll make the weight, the problem for he is that if she does it, she gets crushed.
the Cyborg/Rousey fight has lost it's luster now. the only way that fight would have been worth to pay 50$ for was if they were both still champs.
I still like a grappler over a striker. RR would have won had she taken her down and worked for a submission. but if she couldn't... that's because a striker (holm) learned a good grappling defense. Grappling was still needed by the striker to beat RR.
And I'm willing to bet that some people here still believe that Rousey, or Holm could beat Floyd Mayweather.
Then something must have happened to it between the end of her last fight and the start of this one, which she began by refusing to touch gloves, and in which she threw a punch after the bell had sounded the end of the round. That's your idea of a class act, huh?
...it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. ~ Rocky Balboa She lost, life moves on...her true character will be revealed now by whether she will move on also and put a bad fight behind her.
I love how Floyd Mayweather is now the one taking the high road with her and offering her boxing training... lol
She would be wise to take him up on his offer, or at least spend the next 6 months in Thailand in a good Muay Thai camp. She'll never be as good as Holly on her feet, but she would certainly learn a thing or two about protecting her face.
she doesn't have to be as good as Holly... Truth be told, Holly isn't as good as Rhonda on the mat... which is why she learned enough takedown defense to stay off the mat with her. RR needs to learn some boxing... with the intent of being able to avoid damage until she can take her opponent down where she is superior to 99% of her opponents.
Well I agree, she doesn't need to be as good as Holly, but she certainly needs to learn how to protect her face. It would serve her well to spend a good long while in a wrestling camp too. Once someone has spent enough time like Holly has defending upper body throws/trips as it appeared to me she has with her understanding Rondas hips in that fight, Ronda needs to be able to engage a TD from more than just a clinching position.
She made a terrible tactical mistake, exchanging blows with a superb striker and paid a high price. ''When a superior striker can keep a fight standing they are going to win ''? not always , because a superior grappler will always find ways to take you to ground. Ronda wanted to beat Holm in her own game and failed. For example Miesha Tate, the other superb ground fighter in this division would never do the same mistake.. Ronda became extremely arrogant and arrogants becames complacent and make mistakes.
Man did she ever become arrogant. If you mouth off you can beat Floyd Merriweather, you better be able to back it up and she cant now.lol the thing that happend to Rousy is comparable to the movie Rocky III. In that movie, Rocky got too much focused on fame that he lost his edge same thing happened with Rousy.she is making a film now with mark walhberg. thats the thing I like about Rocky III is it is so realistic in that way. It Happened to Mike Tyson as well.he got so arrogant that he stopped training hard and lost to Buster Douglass as a result. Same thing happend to Douglass. After he beat Tyson he thought he was the king of the world and stopped training hard and got fat and out of shape and lost to Holyfiled in his next match. Rousy just like Douglass, was out of shape because she lost her hunger and got too much focused on fame losing her edge.
