[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSJv-2qfDNc"]Rick Perry's drunken speech (3 minute edit) - YouTube[/ame] Comment: He does seem to be a bit messed up
Pretty funny..great for late nite Tv. Maybe not the best for a serious presidential candidate. It wont hurt or help him in any way..probably shouldn't. We are all too tough on these people.
He was not drunk. The piece was taken out of context, and most everyone there thought he did great including being very serious when he needed to be.
Somebody slipped something into his coffee. Definitely unnaturally exuberated and not prepared for it.
Speech or stand up routine. I've seen comedians do the same thing. Take a couple shots before the show to, you know calm their nerves and go spasmatic on themselves during the routine. He doesn't necessarily have to be bombed, or completely out of control, and I’m not saying that, it simply appears he has had just enough liquid courage to make him seem a little out of character. I'm not digging on the guy, just commenting on an uncomfortable reality that he appears to be a tad bit out of control. I also don’t need your approval to have an opinion, if you disagree I’m good with that too.
... LMAO! Out of context? The entire "appearance" (A.K.A. "freakshow") is messed-up, especially when he coddles with the maplesyrup.
Obama smokes cigarettes now, and has admitted past drug use. I have no use for Perry btw. I just hate your boy.
Anyone could selectively "edit" a talk and make it seem what it was not. It was a dinner, it was not a formal speech, and he was having some fun among friends. And BTW, he was not drunk. The guy who set next to him at the dinner and was also with him before the dinner said that Perry had nothing to drink. This is silliness from the Dems....the same Dems who love a good time; just not one coming from a conservative. BTW, Perry got a standing ovation. Everyone enjoyed it immensely.
"The host of the event, however, has denied that Perry had been drinking. "I can tell you unequivocally he wasnt drinking at the event and he hadnt been drinking prior to the event," Kevin Smith, the executive director of Cornerstone Action, told The Hill. http://thehill.com/video/campaign/191317-perry-says-he-felt-great-during-speech-that-went-viral-
There's nothing wrong with having a few drinks and loosening your tie once in a while. The idiocy to assume damage control is required does nothing to defuse the situation that doesn't need defending in the first place. He's a grown man, an adult. Whether he had a few or not doesn't make a bit of difference, he wasn't slobbering drunk or out of control. He didn't puke on anybody or (*)(*)(*)(*) in the punch bowl. Good lord???
It is truly sad that he had got as far as he had. This is a guy whose plan of action to solve his state's problems is to pack a stadium full of people and tell everyone to pray. His loon status should have been obvious long ago.
Gee ..You mean anyone could selectively " edit " a talk and make it seem what it was NOT ? SEE ROMNEY. The method most used against him. Of course Romney and Perry could both just say the couldn't recall what they said before because of their busy day..and someone was out to smear them ? This political BS is just BOGUS since it is not about policy..past historical events or prelude to any in the future. I can Hammer PERRY on political differences all day long..flip flops in GOVERNING, not just words about gay rights..illegal immigration and college tuition. I can point out Ethical Charges others have brought up and have investigated. I can point out pay for play..misrepresentation of facts.. That is fair and hardball politics. If you are OK with this then Obama and his hate minister must be right up your alley..who a Past president endorses..what a guy said 8 years ago.. ..and what the politician ate for lunch...oh and where .
yeah good point. He is the CFR'S poster boy so I got the feeling they will make sure he gets put in office.
wouldnt be so sure, their all the same.both parties are corrupt, they both serve the establishment, not us.we now have George W Obama in office right now.
since he is the poster boy for the establishment, thats great news.wont mean anything though if Ron Paul doesnt get in.
